Iranian student groups called yesterday for the 15 detainees to be held until US forces released five Revolutionary Guards captured in Iraq earlier this year.
Al-Sharq al-Awsat, a Saudi-owned newspaper based in London, quoted an Iranian military source as saying that the aim was to trade the Royal Marines and sailors for these Guards.
The claim was backed by other sources in Tehran. As soon as the corpss five members are released, the Britons can go home, said one source close to the Guards.
He said the tactic had been approved by Ayatollah Khamenei, Irans supreme leader, who warned last week that Tehran would take illegal actions if necessary to maintain its right to develop a nuclear programme.
Thanks for the laugh! What is CO2!
And when the CO2 falls back into the ocean as the result of rain, it eventually returns to the earth as carbon. Ta da!!!
What are diamonds and coal made from? (Another question for those students.)
I understand what you are saying
My point is .. would you quit your job and then go home and wait to die
or would you continue with your daily routine for as long as you could and try to fight??
I would try to live as normal of a life as I could ... and that is what she is doing
She[Eubanks] has her knickers in a twist that she never met Gonzales and she was handling such a very IMPORTANT case. She finds that "highly unusual."
I would love to know how many of the thousands of career attorneys at DOJ have actually met Gonzales.
Ummmm ... something Gore wants to freeze???
LOL
It's all about her.
Never forget: Russert filed a false affidavit in theLibby case, and he did so with the knowledge of Fitzy. Furthermore, Russert out and out lied on the stand when he said he didn't know you couldn't have a lawyer in with you if testifying before a grand jury. Russert is a flat out liar, he should be shunned and never watched.
On another note, I watched (watching) Reliable Sources. The panel was discussing the news media's coverage of the Gonzales "situation". Howie ended by saying based on the coverage he has seen, it is clear to everyone that the correspondents and pundits are all siding with the democrats, and that is how the american people see it. (He must have done some polling, because on that score he is absolutely correct). Unfortunately, Howie doesn't really see it as the constant that it is: media side with the democrats all the time. They are lefties, each and everyone of them, including Howie.
And CW blew it giving her an entire segment...she was so annoying, I didn't last more than a minute.
We know the surge is working and working well--the dems are all a fluster and now the terrorists are pulling new stunts as well! If that's not enough evidence I don't know what is.
It's just a matter of how to respond to 15 allies being kidnapped.I guess the ball is more in the camp of the UK than us this time.
You know, what really frosts me is that week after week (after week) the RATS get an entire morning's programming to spread their propaganda, with the opposing viewpoint almost always being one of the usual RINO's or another, and, of course, the completely biased moderators... and our guys (if we have any guys left) say and do absolutely nothing about it.
Sending prayers for your Dad, snugs. Breaks are so tough in older folks, particularly when on blood thinners for other good health issues. You are an angel, dear FRiend .. prayers for strength and fortitude for you.
IMHO I still don't understand why the Adm. has responded to any questions whatsoever about the firing of the 8 U.S. attorneys. It was always GW's right to do so and why answer any questions at all when you already know how the answers will be used.
Neither could I. Worst I ever seen.
Kristol thinks the AG should be replaced (so do I, just not right now) with a solid conservative and he names Larry Silberman.
Juan likes Gonzales because he is the first Hispanic AG (how typical is that, never mind performance, he comes from a favored group).
I know that and she is not going to tell him to quit
The question will come when she can no longer leave the house
Will he quit the campaign and be with his wife ... or will he think only of himself
Right now it's too earlier to ask that question
Ahmadinejad also had information released that the British detainees "confessed".

A show trial would give Ahmadinejad an internal boost.
Captain Ed argues that this is a violation of the Geneva convention
