NEVER FORGET
After appearing in the Sundance & Newport Beach Film Festivals, and being awarded serveral Awards in the process, the ImaginAsian Motion Picture Production .."JOURNEY from the FALL".. finally premieres across America.
This film accurately and sadly shares the horrible human consequences resulting from the 1975 Fall of Saigon. A Fall brought about when a post-WATERGATE Democrat Congress cut off all our funding for the then Free South Vietnamese People to fight for their own Freedom with against Communist invaders.
This just as the Communist Soviet Union gave $6 Billion in military aid, according to uncovered KGB Files, to Communist North Vietnam for its planned 'Final Solution' in the South. Translating into over 600 Soviet tanks and 1,000's of Artillery pieces making their way down the Ho Chi Minh Trail to a quick Victory of the South..
600 tanks is more tanks then Gen. GEORGE PATTON needed to win World War II with in Europe.
In this new time of war, in a new Century, with our own Freedom now directly at stake right here at home...
...what prices are to be paid by the Free after another Democrat Congress cuts off all funding again for the Free to fight for their own Freedom with..?

I worked with a lady who was also a Vietnamese refugee. Her story was similar to the one in the movie, with her mother and siblings leaving, but the father, who had been an ARVN officer, staying in a reeducation camp. At the same time, about 2003, I also met another refugee of about the same age, he works as a civilian employee of the USAF. I was never so ashamed in my life as when he asked me if I had been in the war, since I'm the right age to have done so, but I was in AFROTC, getting commissioned in '73, by which time the only US fores left in country were advisors, embassy guards and such as that. It was also about a year after the S. Vietnamese, with help from US Airpower and some Marine units, stopped, but did not fully repulse the North's first attempt at a full scale combined arms invasion, which lead to the "Christmas Bombings" which allowed us get the POWs back and have "Peace with Honor". (A peace which left communist regular forces inside South Vietnam.
Well there was no such honor, unless one considers abandoning those you have pledged to protect, "cutting and Running", and not even continuing to support them with fuel, arms and most importantly ammunition.
But I guess we are about to get some more of that sort of honor, when we abandon all the "purple finger" people.
We are already up to about '71. The Congress first began voting on "ending the war" about then. But things are moving faster today than then. All it will take is a 'Rat victory in the '08 Presidential election, or even a Republican one, depending on which of the horde gets the nomination.
The media is covering the Iraq war in about the same fashion as is covered Tet. Once more rooting for the folks killing US and allied soldiers, as well as civilians. Giving short shrift to our Victories and progress, while covering the other side's minor successes as Great Victories.
They even are pulling the same trick of using local reporters whose sympathies lie with the bad guys.
And he did it too. But of course the 'Rats have just come back with another bill he'll have to veto, and then they'll do another and another, until the military is rendered asunder from lack of funds. Training not conducted (lack of funds for fuel, ammo, contractor support for the training ranges and equipment, etc), procurement programs disrupted and canceled (some deserve it of course, but those are the least likely to be cut, having Congressional Sugar Daddies), it'll be a Smell of a Hess, and it's already started.
They're Rats, and don't need no steenking excuses to sell out the country. To the minor extent that they need the appearance of an excuse, they'll make one up.

It would be nice if we could get an early release for viewing in September.

..”JOURNEY from the FALL”.. The Motion Picture..
...premiered earlier this year within walking distance for the Members of our U.S. Congress at the Smithsonian Institute on Washington DC’s Mall.
..”JOURNEY from the FALL”..
...was part of a new exhibit that highlights the extraordinarily successful Journey of the Vietnamese-American Community in a Free America since the Fall of Freedom in a once Free South Vietnam.
A Journey that commenced with great pain for many over 32 years ago after a post-WATERGATE Democrat Congress cut-off all our funding for them to fight for their own Freedom with.
Perhaps us Freedom-loving Freepers can check into whether it’s still showing at the Smithsonian and then remind Members of Congress..?

Some of the ex-boatfolks I know who managed to see it say well it was just too soft, but you can’t make a movie about it that tells it as bad it really was. I will have to wait for a DVD. The closest that it will ever come to me is about 350 miles. Maybe that close.
It will give them a snicker. They believe that anyone who ever supported the US deserves all the nastiness they can get. I always wonder how they would react to the attitude of perhaps 95% of the Vietnamese in Viet Nam today. The way I heard it over and over is that America is where, if you can get there, you can work your butt off (substitute an appropriate Vietnamese wording here) and your kids can go to school and you can keep what you earn and improve your family's life.
I have been trying to figure out how to get to this thing since I got the first announcements in my email last winter.I would have to go to Tampa to get a shot at it. It was there last week. I can’t get there from here, not on a 1 day weekend.
