Former congressman backs Giuliani (N.H)
Manchester Union-Leader ^ | Mar. 23, 2007 | JOHN DISTASO

Posted on 03/24/2007 1:03:12 PM PDT by veronica

Former U.S. Rep. Bill Zeliff is joining Rudy Giuliani’s presidential campaign.

A source in the campaign told UnionLeader.com that the former Jackson innkeeper “will help with federal and New Hampshire issues as an adviser and will help raise money in Washington, D.C.”

Zeliff, a Republican, was first elected to New Hampshire’s 1st District U.S. House seat in 1990. He left the House after three terms and ran unsuccessfully for the GOP nomination for governor in 1996.

Zeliff has been a Washington lobbyist for the past 10 years, currently employed by The Livingston Group, headed by former Republican Rep. Bob Livingston of Lousiana.

And as peach will recall, I'm not allowed to post it, posts in the vein of those which got Edwards bloggers thrown off his campaign, though not related to the Virgin Mary.

In my view, though I recognize how much fun high fiving is in the playground, the sex-obsessed anti-Rudy's aren't sapping Rudy's strength. To what extent they'll be able to boost Hillary remains to be seen.

You just posted from a tongue-in-cheek fake letter in a "satire" column from a left-wing perv site!

LOL

It's not sapping Rudy's strength at all; in fact, he's gaining supporters on this forum almost daily and certainly his national poll numbers have risen substantially since he first announced.

I think the answer is that women are not looking for the same attributes in a date as president.

I think you're right. And potentially, it can drive voters away from the Republican candidate whoever he might be. As you know, that pleases me about as much as the level of discourse :<(

If he gets the nomination, I'll be on his side, but not till then.

Free Republic Opinion Poll:

If the primary were held today and your Republican choices are Rudy Giuliani vs Fred Thompson, how would you vote?

Composite Opinion
Fred Thompson 66.0% 4,174
Rudy Giuliani 19.3% 1,221

The Village Voice?

Just when you think they've hit bottom, they find a new low.

Hint: A Free Republic poll is not indicative of how Republicans nationwide are thinking or planning to vote. Thank goodness.

As I recall from 1999, Alan Keyes was polling #1 on Free Republic and we all know he never got out of single digits in the nationwide polls.

In all nationwide polls, Rudy is polling #1.

What a quick change of direction!

Well, it seems like trust should be one attribute that is desirable to both.

That's quite a stretch there. So Peach says that the picture ties to a reference in a "newspaper" and the reference you posted doesn't mention anything of the sort. Any idiot could have written that. Leftists are good at that, like during the Dan Rather scandal at CBS. Remember how they tried to paint FreeRepublic as some extremist site?

As far as anyone drawing the conclusion that discussions here about Giuliani's past indiscretions, or his cross dressing are somehow unfair are Rudy Giuliani's own fault - not ours. He chose to follow that course. He pays the piper when he is a public figure running for high office.

it was a joke mocking

Yeah, throwing mud just for a laugh. When confronted - then it's "your reading too much into it or it was a joke'. Can't take responsibility for what YOU DID. First it was Rudy's actions, now it's mine! Truly liberal mindset - always someone else's fault.

That's right, the Village Voice, circulation about 1.8 million. And dozens of other publications which carry the column. Mostly

Yeah, they ridicule the Village Voice, then quote it when it is to their potential advantage. Hypocrites.

The Rudy support and ping list grows daily. Perhaps that would have been a more correct characterization.

As I said, this is the web site that supported the slave reparations endorsing Alan Keyes in 2000. ROFL

Bill who? What a "major" endorsement this is. What other prominent figures are going to come out and endorse Rudy? Maybe Rodney King? Kato Kaelin? Howard K. Stern?

I guess given that RINO Rudy dropped eight points and behind McCain in the last NH poll, he is pulling out all the stops.
