US Dispatches Treasury Official To Unfreeze N. Korea Funds
(RTTNews) - The Bush administration in a desperate move to resuscitate the six-nation talks on dismantling N Korea's nuclear program, has said that it was dispatching a Treasury Department official to Beijing to help authorities accelerate the release of $25 million in frozen North Korea funds.
Daniel Glaser, deputy assistant secretary for terrorist financing and financial crimes, will head a delegation to China on Saturday to coordinate with authorities in Macau and China dealing with the frozen money held at Banco Delta Asia, a bank in the Chinese territory of Macau.

Condi is really over the line. Maybe she is deserate for the grand legacy of her own,which will put her firmly in Chia Head's grip.
These days, the best hope is that some problematic players overplay their hand and things blow up in their face. Those include Iranian President & his minions, Chia Head, Chinese, Dems, and Condi & her crowd. We just have to hope that their hubris will push them into a hole they cannot crawl out.

I agree that his title can have a rather ironic interpretation. However, I do think that he is not probably doing it willingly, but Condi really came down hard on him to do it.

Its rather amusing to hinge success on something...that involves a lousy $25 million. Donald Trump has to be sitting there and thinking there must be a typo and they meant billion.

This is being viewed as EXTREME WEAKNESS, in an Asian diplomatic and behavioral sense vis a vis negotiations. What a failure of the United States.

I would not give them a penny. I would take that money and put it towards the deficit (I know maybe three minutes worth of interest), but at least I know where it is going. Either way it would be a waste of money, but at least it would be our waste of money.
But according to Dr. Evil (Chia Head), just ONE million dollars should be enough to turn heads.
