"The universe is a big place, and we're conceited to think we're alone." Fife Symington, former Ariz. governor Former Gov. Fife Symington says now that those strange lights that appeared over Phoenix a decade ago were from another world and that he had a close encounter with an alien craft on March 13, 1997.

"I'm a pilot and I know just about every machine that flies. It was bigger than anything that I've ever seen. It remains a great mystery. Other people saw it, responsible people," Symington said Thursday. "I don't know why people would ridicule it."

Symington, who was in his second term as governor of Arizona during the Phoenix Lights incident, recently told a UFO investigator making a documentary that he had kept quiet about his personal close encounter because he didn't want to panic the populace. He repeated his story Thursday on CNN, saying the craft he saw was "enormous. It just felt other-worldly. In your gut, you could just tell it was other-worldly."

Actually,

There was a retired Airforce Col or was it commercial pilot--If forget--will ask tomorrow, I think it was . . . The huge V shaped craft flew low over his house--I think in Scottscale or some such . . .

He asserted that the craft was huge enough that he could have landed his big commercial plane in the middle of the UFO WITH !!!NO!!! problem--including landing deceleration and braking space.

Also, there are reliable reports that the huge UFO was low enough in the neighborhood of Sky Harbor at one point that TWO Southwest Airline planes came in to land over the top of the UFO. Yet there was no pilot chatter and no evidence on any of the control tower or plane instruments and computer of the craft's presence.

I should have more to report on this tomorrow evening. A major researcher on the topic is at the AZTEC UFO CONF this weekend.

But the government's ridicule/disinformation etc. campaign has been very effective.

Evidently you haven't notice the change in the last 6 months in terms of he significant change in detais being releasted; the nature of the sources and the frequency and amount of such releases.

Then there's he Frenc Govgt release of 50 years of secret files on UFO's.

But you don't have to let go of your bias and skeptcism just yet. The forced awareness is still at least a few months/years off.

Yes. Proven to be insects time and time and time again by anyone and everyone with even the most basic training in video artifacts. The physics involved is very simple. It is known as aliasing, meaning that the video frame rate is too slow to accurately capture the movement of insect wings and therefore introduces a lot of distortion into the video. Almost all video cameras capture frames at a rate ranging from 24Hz to 60Hz, depending on the camera. Most insect wings cycle back and forth at a frequency of 200Hz to as high as around 2KHz. Even for slow insect wings cycling at 200Hz, it is physically impossible for a high-performance 60Hz video camera to accurately capture the wing movement. The camera only captures one frame exposure for every three to four beats of slow insect wings, which causes aliasing in the video and means that what you see when you play it back is a funky, likely-pulsing blur where the insect's wings are. Hence, the "pulsing rods", LOL. Permanent end of story.
