Are you still doing the doggie ping list?
It is normal to treat seed grains with anti fungicides, rodent poison or other chemicals intended to preserve the seeds.
One of the cardinal rules of farming is: don't eat the seeds. This is an example of why.
Hang my fat ass. Give the culprit to me.
Lock us in an empty room for 10 minutes. That's all I need.
If this is so, why wouldn't dry food be affected as well as wet?
>>>Maybe someone used "seed corn" for their grain. It is often doused with pesticides to keep rats and other vermin away.
Back in December 2005, Diamond Pet Foods had a recall due to aflatoxin in the dog food. Aflatoxin is from moldy corn.
any idea why this was removed from the sidebar?
And I wonder how much made it into the human food supply here, after all a good proportion of the workers in these companies probably don't even read or speak English. And they will be given the jobs around the toxic substances because they won't bitch about working conditions. AND most of these companies produce food for human consumption too.
AND WHAT OTHER CROPS DOES CHINA ALLOW TO BE SPRAYED WITH THIS RODENTICIDE.... RICE?????
I think I'm going to just eat what I produce, I don't need all that starch anyway.
"One would hope they should know the source soon given the new Homeland Security regulations for food plants."
PETA, who else? .... They don't believe in people having pets and this is just a way for them to do something about it.
That would be if it was raised for seed only because you wouldn't put rat poison or any other product harmful to humans, directly on food-grade wheat.
It is for grains that were designated to be used as seed for next year, or to be sold to someone else as seed.
It may be food grade before it is treated, but obviously is not "food grade" after it is treated.
There was a similar thing that happened with corn sent to Africa as seed. It was treated with a compound of mercury as an fungicide. When it arrived, people diverted some and sold it to people. It killed a few before they figured out what happened.
You do know that wheat gluten is often the biproduct from a distillation process? It used to be called "mash".
Some question when I suggest it ....!

This is too much of a coincident who would benifit or have leverage??
Across the broad of cat food companies hit could it be the terrorist tell how easy it is to get into our food supply?

Fox News/Rat Poison in Dog Foods
I wonder how much of that "wheat" may have found its way into people food.
There is at least one other possibility that needs to be explored - stock manipulation. Anyone take a short position in any of the affected companies shortly before the crisis hit?
