Considering the Easter Bunny originated in the symbol of the Celtic Goddess of fertility, the hare, this is almost funny.

How about having a show of sesnitivity towards
CHRISTIANS for a change.
But I guess that is too much to ask.

Elsewhere, similar government bans on the Easter Bunny and Easter egg hunts have become fodder for critics who say theres nothing religious about these symbols. But Burk, who volunteered that he was raised as a Roman Catholic, said that the Easter Bunny has been part of Easter celebrations as long as he can remember. Without Easter, there would be no Easter Bunny, he said. Ok... I'm speechless...

Following this logic, we should ban: chocolate, jelly beans, peeps, decorated eggs, plastic grass and pastel colors. These are all associated with Easter to, therefore, they endorse religion.

Instead of the Easter Bunny, the Parent-Teacher Council booth will offer photos with Peter Rabbit.Perhaps they should opt for Harvey instead.

How long before the Publik Skoolz ban all mention of "Good Friday"?
Can you just image....
"Well, we can't use the word 'good', because then we'd have to explain why it's 'good' and then we'd have to mention, you know, 'Him'..err, I mean 'him', and besides the word 'good' is such a value judgment, and who are we to judge whether the day is really good or not because of..well, you know... "
And by the way... when are we going to ban "Earth Day"? Isn't that a vicious insult to all the other planets out there?
To: Ellesu
OK, since we cannot use the term P.C. I have a better and more direct word for this, it is called bulls$!t. Not sugar coated, not nice, blunt !

Hey! Don't these people know that the
only offensive holiday in the entire calendar is 12/25? There's nothing wrong or sectarian whatsoever about
any other holiday, no matter how "chr*stian" or European! That's why everyone celebrates "halloween" and "St. Patrick's Day" (well, the latter is the ethnic holiday of an ethnic group that has always voted Democrat, so that's perfectly all right)!
I read the ACLU sued to remove a cross from the LA city seal but left in the image of a pagan "gxdess." Don't these stupid liberals know that the name "e*ster" comes from the name of a pagan Germanic spring "gxdess" and ultimately from the Babylonian "gxdess" isht*r? They're supressing paganism! How dare they! What do they think this country is, a chr*stian theocracy??? [/sarcasm]
