I'm sure everyone notices the passive stress on "follows", as if the polygamy came along by itself.

Of course the proper title is "African Immigrants Bring Polygamy to New York".

The "In Secret" blurb just helps to try and portray it as this murky, hard-to-understand thing, when in fact, it's the norm in dozens of Muslim countries.

It's not only Muslim. There are many refugees from Southeast Asia who brought their other wives and families over with them. The same goes for non-Muslim Africans. Not only do they have second wives, they have girlfriends all over the place. It's a veritable rabbits' warren of frenetic copulation and the siring of bastards. Even women who are self-proclaimed Christians are hooked up with married men within weeks of arriving on U.S. soil. Their excuse? "This is how I feel. This is the way God made us. So...which of the wives and children were getting welfare, ADC, and housing allowance? Obviously, one of the wives was since she would not be classified as wife under our laws.
