A couple can be happily married and then something happens that disrupts it. It happens, what else is there to say? Uh...for those that believe marriage should be faithfulness to one person of the opposite sex, in sickness in health, for better or for worse, richer or poorer, til death us do part, there's a lot else to say. You grow up and work it out.

What you say is true, but not particularly important if a poor slob's wife comes home and tells him she is leaving. He can't force her to stay. He probably doesn't even want to.
