The North American Union Is Really a Debate Over Political Ideology
Canada Free Press ^ | 3.22.07 | Tom DeWeese

If you believe the United States is the most unique nation on Earth with a government designed to protect your natural liberties, an economic system unlike any other -designed to create economic independence, and judicial system unknown to any other nation, then a North American Union is a threat to all you hold dear.

The question is where do you stand?

The other side intends to marginalize your love of country and support of limited government. In fact, the other side doesn't want to debate the issue at all. It just wants to force its way on you, without discussion, without a vote, and without your involvement. And that is why they are trying to operate in secret.

CNN Anchorman Lou Dobbs said during a report, "Have our political elites gone mad?"

"Away from the spotlight, from Sept.12 to 14 (2006), in Banff Springs (Canada), Minister of Public Safety Stockwell Day and Defense Minister Gordon O'Connor met with U.S. and Mexican government officials and business leaders to discuss North American integration at the second North American Forum.

The focus of the event included topics such as 'A North American Energy Strategy,' 'Demographic and Social Dimensions of North American Integration,' and Opportunities for Security Cooperation'

The public has been kept in the dark while the business elite have played a lead role in designing the blueprint for this more integrated North America." Reported by the Toronto Star, 9-20-06

Arizona State University is teaching that U.S., Mexico and Canada need to be integrated into a unified superstate, where U.S. citizens of the future will be known as "North Americanists."

The program openly calls for the integration of economic issues across the continent, and in many places goes further--such as the call for a common North American currency and an implied joint military.

I have an idea. Canada and Mexico can first adopt the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. THEN we can talk about North American Union.

Oh dear. NOT SUBJECT TO CITIZEN REVIEW:

"Mexican economist and researcher Miguel Pickard wrote in an article, published by foreign press, detailing the "deep integration" planned for North America. He said there will be no single treaty and nothing will be submitted to legislatures of the three countries.

Instead, he says, the plan for a "merged future" will be implemented through "the signing of regulations not subject to citizen review."

He went on to report of several secret meetings held in all three nations, after which representatives signed "close to 300 regulations" installing a "Unified American Border Action Plan."

......where U.S. citizens of the future will be known as "North Americanists."

"North Americanists" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. "Canamexicans" would be better. ...and more accurate.

The North American Union can only happen if the U.S.A. ratifies the "Convention on Biological Diversity" treaty with the UN.

Does anyone have any idea what happens when the treaties are ratified at local and state level; but not Federally?

YES! Each Canadian province/Mexican state can separately apply for statehood. That's the ONLY way I'll accept a North American "superstate", which BTW, already exists as the USA. Canada and Mexico are economic/political/military midgets compared to us.

The "amnesty" being put forward in our Congress now is one of the elements of this scheme. See also:

Ideology? I guess if you consider our national sovereignty as an ideology.

YES! Each Canadian province/Mexican state can separately apply for statehood.

Big problem with that. In the case of Mexico we'd be taking in over a hundred million third worlders from an entirely alien culture, many of whom would be only too happy to be recipients of big gov't programs/goodies. Iow, natural Democrat voters. In the case of Canada we'd be taking in mostly liberals. Again, Democrat voters. Our political spectrum would be shifted dramatically to the Left.

Acquiring the land of Mexico and Canada would be highly desirable, of course. But unfortunately that land comes with their people as well.

From the article, read and heed:
If you expect to find a Bush Administration declaration that the United States of America will be replaced by a North American Union, forget it. If you think such a drastic change in our nation won't happen without a national debate and voter referendum--think again.

A close examination of just a few facts shows that a legal and institutional framework is indeed being put in place that could easily be switched into a full-fledged regional government.

Step by step, America is moving from NAFTA - to the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America--and indications are the SPP will lead toward the creation of a North American Community as a logical precursor to a North American Union.

Last summer my Rep, Joe Wilson, held a town hall meeting on illegal immigration. After the meeting, which, IMHO, was very nonproductive, he took questions and I asked him what he knew about this. He said he had read some about it. But that I needn't worry as (paraphrased), "We've had no legislation put forth to fund or implement anything like this."

And there won't be. As stated in the article, most of this will be done via regulations that will not be put forth as legislation.

You have to look at this in order to understand why there are no border controls--and also why there are more americans killed by illegals than by the war in the middle east.

As states and it would still be called the United States of America.

Would you believe ANARCHY? Certainly not federalism, or any semblance of orderly government.

The problem is one of education and awareness. There are quite a few folks in both the US and Canada who are so enflamed with Europhobia, that they don't quite comprehend the uniqueness and beauty of English Common Law and Magna Cartian philosophy, which it the THING that sets many English speaking countries apart from all others. This failing leads to a broad disregard of those aspects of the US and the Canadian systems which hail from those 700 year old traditions and which are what we need to consider as the inner core of our national structures. Yet another reason why the Anglosphere concept needs to be promoted far and wide.
