Yet they continue to stonewall attempts to question key players in the scandal surrounding the apparently politically-motivated firing of eight U.S. Attorneys.

Look in the mirror, Chuckie. The questions are politically motivated.

You forgot the obligatory "MEGA-BARFER".

Lott is a gutless idiot. I remebemr him during the Clinton impeachment... a big talker in the locker room, but a hand-wringing daisy when it came time for his team to take the field.

I agree. It doesn't even matter if it was politically motivated. Clinton fired every single prosecutor when he took office, why wasn't that politically motivated? Bush can do what he pleases with these people for whatever reason he wants. It's the nature of the job.

Could it be that so many Clinton white house staffers testified because the man was impeached, plus was up to his eyeballs in trouble with Whitewater and other scandals? This is verbal diarrhea.

Doesn't anyone else realize that contempt of Congress is the only rational position to take? If I were accused of it I would have to say, "Senator (or Congressman), I am respectful of you as I am of anyone, but yes, I do have nothing but the deepest contempt for you and all your colleagues, for your blatant disregard for the Constitution, for your arrogance in assuming that you can dictate your whims to your fellow citizens, for your greed in trying to gather political power and wealth to yourselves. I am not alone in these opinions, but share them with the majority of your betters, the American populace."

30 Clinton aides testified 54 times

Wasn't it to either plead the 5th or say they don't remember?
