Will be interesting to watch how Gore dodges the question on nuclear power.
To: penelopesire

Why not build greenhouses next to the coal plants? Can you imagine the spider plants they could grow???

Hastert: I was there during Kyoto and I watched the development. I believe in international relationships and contracts but we need to make sure they work. I think there are answers, using the resources we have. I know you disagree with us on coal. There are things we can do with atomic energy and renewable fuelds. The other part of this is we've become so dependent on foreign fuels that we're tired to shieks and dictators and Venesuela and Iran and Iraq and Quatar and Nigeria and Russia and I could go on and on. If someone turns the spikot off, we lose jobs and the ability to produce in this country.

Gore is supposed to go under oath. When you are a pathological liar, you can convince yourself that you never lie. Look at Valerie Plame's performance - is anyone going after her for perjury?
The Repubs are too lame to sock it Al - or anyone for that matter.

Hastert: I see store after store closed, manufacturing closed. As we increase regulation, we force jobs out of this country.

I think that line may have been a Freudian slip by Gore. He may have just exposed himself for the moron he is by saying "look, the planet is getting hotter. When a baby gets hotter it's a problem with the baby and it needs help"; which may explain why he is so fixated on this being a Earth centric problem instead of the obvious explanation of this being a Sun centric problem.
