FBI issues alert about extremists as School Bus Drivers

WASHINGTON -- Suspected members of extremist groups have signed up as school-bus drivers in the United States, counterterror officials said yesterday in a cautionary bulletin to police.

But an FBI spokesman said, "Parents and children have nothing to fear."

The bulletin, parts of which were read to The Associated Press, did not say how often foreign extremists have sought to acquire licenses to drive school buses, or where.

Are these simply "foreign nationals" or "Suspected members of extremist groups?" And if they are members of extremist groups, which groups????

But an FBI spokesman said, "Parents and children have nothing to fear."

What he was thinking but couldn't say was the conclusion to his sentence: "...As long as your child's bus driver is not a Muslim."

Parents and children have nothing to fear... there are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern... no information indicating these individuals are involved in a terrorist plot against the homeland
