So far my list is quite small:
Ensure (the nutrition drinks)
Jello
smooth soups
ice cream
pudding
Any other ideas? I'll be pretty sore for a couple/few weeks I guess. Thanks so much!

Chicken broth and beef bouillon cubes for dinner, Gatorade, apple juice...I'd avoid anything too spicy.

NO tomato sauce of any kind!!
NO ICE CREAM, it creates a milky paste in the mouth
Popscicles are really cool, and the ice helps reduce the pain.

guacamole is not only smooth and tasty but loaded with calories so you won't have to eat a large volume of food to feel full. Good luck and a speedy recovery to you

My son has had numerous surgical procedures on his mouth. You can usually start with clear liquids and then progress to more solid food. I have some great soup recipes when you get to that phase let me know I will be happy to share.

Mashed potatoes with lots of butter. Lipton Noodle Soup (in the box). (Very small noodles and extremely easy to swallow). I speak from experience. I lived on these two things for a couple of weeks when I had my wisdom teeth cut out oh so many, many years ago!

Conservative?
apple sauce, jello, chicken broth and some chicken soups, yogurt, tea w/honey, puddings, nutri-drinks, some baby food isn't bad.
Liberal?
crackers with hot sauce, very well done crisp steak, fries and celery. Tossed salad with carrots, celery, hard croutons.
deep fried onions, chicken fried steak with bacon grease gravy, lots of popcorn, corn chips, tortilla chips and pretzels with jalapeno dip. Indian, Mexican, French foods
