A day after he implied that Ireland should not follow New York Citys example and pass a ban on smoking in all workplaces, Rudolph Giuliani called Mayor Michael Bloomberg to say that was not what he meant.
Bloomberg said the former mayor told him that he meant that Ireland, which currently has no smoking restrictions, should begin to restrict smoking slowly, rather than all at once.
He just thought that sometimes you go partways to get there, let people adjust and then go the rest of the way, Bloomberg said yesterday.
Giuliani said that it made more sense to restrict smoking to certain areas.

If Rudy drops out, then there will be an opportunity for Bloomberg to jump in the race. They have nearly identical philosophies.

"Think of the sheeple as frogs in a pot of water. Bring the water to a boil very slowly. They are too stupid to know what hit them that way.

No worries.
One of two things will happen now:
1.) Rudophiles ignore post, pretend it never happened.
2.) Rudophiles explain why Rudy is right to call for stricter smoking bans.
I'm waiting to see which.

my thoughts exactly. he's tellign them not to boil the water then put in the frog, but to put the frog and then turn up the heat gradually.
this is in AlGore's movie, ant it the left's social strategy.

Was he talking about smoking bans or gun control?
(probably both)

I am thankful that my state passed strict smoking laws, it helped me quit. All smokers want to quit, they just don't all admit it.
By the way, it is a waste of time for you to bash Rudy for the sake of the so-called "Rudophiles". Nothing is going to change my mind.
p.s. - that Rudy-in-a-dress picture is way past old.

Just another example of JulieAnnie's "BIG GOVERNMENT KNOWS WHAT'S BEST FOR EVERYONE" philosophy!
If you want a bigger, more intrusive, more controlling, 'government knows best' (supposedly Republican) candidate---
JULIEANNIE IS JUST THE MAN FOR THE JOB!!!

I'd say that Rudy's backspin is spinning out of control!
No wonder his guy in charge of this stuff quit last week. He probably couldn't get Maalox by the truckload...
