I can't believe we are still hearing about this story. My understanding is that the President can fire them all (prosecuters) if he wants - so what's the deal?

The problem is that Bush is a Republican.
To: kddid
This is almost comical. The libs fabricate scandals and the GOP goes along.
On second thought, perhaps it's not so comical after all...

Schumer said. A good lawyer will tell you when the witnesses keep changing their stories, they're usually not telling the truth and they have something to hide Did you hear that from a good lawyer, Chuckie?

Once again, my thanks to conservative voters who stayed home in November "to teach the Republicans a lesson" and let the Dems win the US Senate by 2,093 votes (the combined Dem win margin in two states).

How did they get these e-mails? I thought that the Democrats didn't approve of anyone reading other people's e-mails?

Why does not whoever that is subpeonaed because of this bullshit tell the Socialists and Communist,a/k/a Democrats that are holding the hearings that U.S. Attornies sserve at the pleasure of the sitting President and he can replace them at any time he so pleases. With or without a reason.
Why don't tell them that if they don't like it they can go straight to hell.
Instead if getting up thre and kissing their asses and apologizing and groveling all over the floor.

All Democrats in Congress are traitors for giving aid and comfort to the terrorists. The penalty for treason should be death by hanging.

The recent MSM/socialist symphony of politicized "news" beats even the disgusting spectacle at Sen. Paul Wellstone's funeral (2002).

Billy Bob Clinton would have said "HaHaHa With a stroke of a pen...Cool. HaHaHa". and that would of been the end to it.

Yeh, but some of the revelations are interesting.
Bush basically said that he didn't know what was going on.
Bush was frankly not happy about the way Mr. Gonzales had handled the dismissal of federal prosecutors [from:
Bush Criticizes Handling of Prosecutors Dismissals].
Miers supposedly wanted to fire all the prosecutors.
Now this:
Sampson, who resigned last week, released a statement making clear that senior Justice officials were aware that the department and the White House "had been discussing the subject since the election" of 2004. Gonzales has said he was kept in the dark about the communications.
Apparently, Gonzales didn't know.
So who is running the Executive Branch?

And Spector likes to see his name associated with Donks.

But now GW has a Congress he can work with.
Recall how he beamed while making that pronouncement the day after the election?

We've got Islamofascists wanting to kill every one of us, and these losers, Leahy leading the way, are more concerned about Attorney's getting fired? Sick.
