While the professor is thin skinned (especially with his stupid Sea World comment), a bus driver has no constitutional right to insult his passengers. If a passenger complains, the bus company is within their right to fire him.

CAIR is orchestrating an organized campaign of intimidation using Leftist legal dogma (discrimination / diversity / political correctness) to silence and intimidate critics and block free discussion of the wisdom of inviting large numbers of an ethnic group with inimically hostile views on major issues of American culture to those which unified us throughout the twentieth century through two world wars and a depression.

I would not make excuses for the offended passenger nor for CAIR's cheerleading of the firing of an apparently competent driver, who did not personally insult the complaining professor.

I'm no fan of CAIR. They are a bunch of heavy-handed thugs claiming to be a civil rights group. One of their bigwigs is suing some of the passengers on that U.S. Airways flight that threw off the imams. That's unconscionable.

But I don't ride a bus to be insulted by a total stranger. How many Polish jokes have you heard from an unknown bus driver while riding a bus? That's the more relevant question. I can't fault the bus company for firing this guy.

If I had a tour bus company in Orlando, which catered to tourists from all over the world, I would fire this guy too. Maybe his "schtik" would be funny in a comedy club, or maybe not, but a tour bus is the wrong place to insult people...even if he insults all equally. This bus driver was just stupid. Orlando survives on tourism. People of all different races, religions and origins visit the area. Anyone with a background in hospitality would tell you telling jokes or making insults in such a culturally diverse group is unwise and bad for business.
