Beginning with journalism students. Call them up FIRST.
"Rooney called our troops "losers" that didn't finish high school"
That is absolutely reprehensible. I can't believe some father hasn't bashed down his office door and kicked his prunish geezer azz. He is a disgrace.
I just wanna punch him in the jaw....ONCE!
And Bill Maher, and Tim Russert,and........
Oh yeah -- big time. Add David Gregory and let me slap Helen Thomas... at least twelve times. :0)
Here's a look at the Pelly shack in Cape Cod. He moved from Texas.

Didn't we expect a hit piece - CBS? That's a given. Am I the only one out here that thinks Frank did an excellent job?
Okay, Scott Pelley was dramatic with the Oh, Frank, you can't mean that? ; then his voice trembling when he read off ages or names of children killed in one of the houses.
But - the message got out. Frank was doing what he thought was his job defending his guys. He stood behind his guys, saying they did what they were supposed to do.
Pelley brought up some good points when he featured Justin Sharratt in Fallujah. Those that hesitated paid with their lives. Threw in a good (and famous) photo of the Marine being carried out of that hellhole with a bloodied leg, holding his firearm. He showed how an IED had been bured right in front of the Marines base in Haditha - IOW if they were that bold to do that in front of the Marine base, how bold would they be in their safe haven? Also, profiled the 6 Marine snipers that were ambushed in Haditha in August, with their videos shown later. The 14 Marines blown up 2 days later by Haditha terrorists, Aug. 3. I could go on.
It was not all bad! Frank was great!
I'll have to put Olbermann and Jon Stewart on that list, but I'd pay for Olbermann.
Heroes don't come wholesale
By Andy Rooney Tribune Media Services - 04/08/2004
Treating soldiers fighting their war as brave heroes is an old civilian trick designed to keep the soldiers at it. But you can be sure our soldiers in Iraq are not all brave heroes gladly risking their lives for us sitting comfortably back here at home.

LET'S ROLL...
After the puff piece on the Appeal for Redress morons, it sickens me to see a true hero treated like this. There has to be a special place in HELL for people like Pelley and Murtha...
After reading this thread, I am wondering if I should watch the DVR version.....
Correction the shack is in McLean, VA not Cape Cod.
For sure --- but I get to slap Helen Thomas.
As the war continued Mary busily filed her stories to TIME. But not long after our luncheon she attracted far more attention from what she said than from what she wrote. She accused Andy Rooney and two other correspondents of plagiarism. Rooney was then a staff writer and war correspondent for the Armys newspaper, The Stars and Stripes.
Oh that would be sweet!
You wanna "change the world" eh? Well here's your chance :)
Okay, where's the machine gun kitty facing off a picture of Scott Pelley? We need some good animation/photos.
For instance, how many times did Pelley say that all 24 dead were "innocent civilians"? I think it was four times.
There might be a transcript later on the CBS site.
In some places in the interview, Frank was too honest. He said he didn't see a threat from one of the houses. But we know that Mendoza, Salinas, and Tatum killed gunmen in the houses! Kallop saw a threat even if Frank didn't.
This will be an intersting transcript to read. Did you guys notice that Frank said he didn't fire in either the first or second house, and yet I believe he's charged with 11 murders between these 2 houses?
The "innocent" or "apparent", as Scott said, civilians is because of the charges that NCIS/prosecution preferred. They are saying everyone was innocent until the defense proves they weren't. How do you prove which of the men killed were insurgents at this point?
I do know that he said twice - that Frank was scheduled for courtmarital later this year which is completely false!
Did he make any mention of the video being shot by the fake journalism student and given to Time Magazine by the reporters from Reuters with ties to insurgents? OR that it was shopped to numerous media outlets before Time decided to run with it...
I'm looking for a transcript now...
