Wallace wasn't a problem until he got blasted by an angry Bill Clinton.

What still irks me about that exchange is that Wallace allowed Clinton to poke his boney finger in this leg over and over. If ANYONE tried that with me, they would find their hand slapped away and would be warned to keep their hands to themselves in the future. Wallace just sat there.

That's true, but I think that Wallace just didn't have any idea how to continue to appear objective and hold his ground.

If you take a similar situation in which Barney Frank blasted over Neil Cavuto-- Neil was firm, but still professional and he didn't give an inch.

And I also wonder if Chris ever had to set boundaries with bosses, coworkers etc the way that you or I had to. Maybe the aura of Mike Wallace and the establishment liberal crowd deluded him to thinking that everyone on his side will always behave professionally.

I think he was so shocked but as a reporter he should not be.
