Schumer says if Gonzales steps down the WH can show the law comes before politics. It is difficult to say who is the biggest Stalinist demagogue in the Democrat Party, as there is such a huge field of immensely qualified candidates to choose from. But Schmucky surely must be included in the top three! Or five. Or ten. Gosh, this is so hard narrowing the field!

Specter almost accuses Schumer of conflict of interest by being on the Dem committee that is trying to defeat Domenici in NM.
But Specter whimps out and, instead of calling for Schumer to resign, Specter says that is up to Schumer.

Exactly, Bahbah. They were AFRAID. Always afraid. Even when in the majority.

Schumer is no Clinton fan. He had to teach her not to be so anti Israel and pro Palestine. She owes a lot to him, but she would be the second to last to admit it. The last would be her husband, who would demand to take credit.

It is possible to rip the other side without getting into the gutter with them. I wish our side would learn thatAMEN.

The more I think about it the more I begin to wonder if there was a mole or just someone who got jealous. Jealousy can be so destructive both in private and public life.
I feel if Tom Delay had still been there in 2006 as leader the losses would have been much less and the Republicans probably would not have lost control of both houses.

But Specter whimps out and, instead of calling for Schumer to resign, Specter says that is up to Schumer You missed the part where Specter said he wouldn't call for Schumer to resigned because Schumer would then say he (Specter)was tried to shut down freedom of speech and his right to speak out
Specter said he wouldn't do that .. but he would say it was a conflict of interest

The problem I see is that the RATS will not let you be fair they cry foul at the least little thing and therefore leave the Republicans in a position that they know the least criticism the press will report as unfair Republican pressure etc etc.
This is where Delay is so missed he somehow managed to do this without it appearing that you had gone down to their level and beyond they did not cry foul that quick with him because they knew his skill for this sort of thing.
Again another reason I feel that Delay was either the subject of extreme jealousy or a mole.

Dems are world class experts at destroying and removing opponents. Republicans do not even engage the thought. So we exist in parallel worlds. Gonzales' removal would be just another scalp "nothing personal, just business" from the dems. Just one more way to weaken the Executive Branch of U S Government because a Republican is in power. The Constitution means NOTHING to the dems.
In phhsstok's preview thread he linked an article about Conrad Black going on trial. I have not read it, but mention Conrad Black because he was a media 'mogul' who happened to be conservative. He has been destroyed by people who cannot bear powerful conservative opposition.
Same thing happened to Tom Delay. He was too effective. Hence he had to be removed.
Did the dems ever have a bad word to say about Dennis Hastert? I don't remember any, because he was a 'moderate.'

In what alternate universe is Specter and Kerry considered "Fair and balanced"?
I HATE the way these shows alternate between:
A) Democrats bashing Republicans, the U.S.A., and all things fair and good.
B) RINO Republicans bashing Republicans, the U.S.A., and all things fair and good.
The MSM seems to be more full of propaganda than Pravda.

Sestak says we have to go where terrorism is. Then he says we brought terrorism to Iraq.
Well, Joe????
DeLay says they are coming to Iraq to fight us there. Isn't that okay. Says the Admiral wants us to fight them all over the world and that is exactly what we are doing.

IMHO absolutely correct re Delay and Hastert, sometimes you need moderates but be aware when you have them that the Dems will take advantage.
