Since we LOVE rants on this thread...I thought I would post this one of Charlie Daniels'.

He seems to hit the same theme that a lot of freepers on today's thread have hit.

having seen a thread from a rep from ADS this week accusing some FReepers of being a paid mob this weekend and having been accused of being paid to defend certain things on FR myself

Care to elaborate? I'm sure FReepers are described as worse than being a paid mob on some sites.

There were 3 observances that really stuck out to me yesterday, during the C-span coverage of the anti-war protests.

1...that there were hardly ANY people there.

2...that a big percentage of the speakers at their protest were not Americans or were ranting about other countries' problems..that of course Bush has caused.

3...that they were blaming the Dems almost as much as Bush over the war.

Pearle is AWESOME when he says to Sestak:

"YOu must be the only admiral in the world who says that telling the enemy of our exit strategy is the way to victory".

LOL and AWESOME

Pearle is GREAT

Richard Pearle is a very smart guy. But it sooo depressing to hear one of our military "geniuses" spout drivel that any fourth grader recognizes instinctively as BS. Just imagine how many kids across America, who are losing badly to a neighbor's kid ("Jimmy") at any game in progress, but because "Jimmy's" mom said the "Jimmy" must be home by 6:00 pm for the family dinner, the losing kid just says he "has to go to the bathroom," but will certainly return by 6:05 pm (after "Jimmy" is gone, of course) to win by "default." It's really disgusting that an American flag officer cannot grasp a concept that any fourth-grader can immediately.

Dems love to use poll numbers. And we know they are worthless. When I was polled last fall by a political polling company, one of the first questions was "Is America on the right track or the wrong track" I gave a little bit of lip to the pollster, and then said that question is unanswerable. Are we talking political, economic, social, cultural???

I'm sure that we all would like Americans not to be in Iraq! IF the Middle East was stable, and Iraqis were on a firm political foundation. And all Iraqis would like us not to be there, since we are a daily reminder of their instability. How does a pollster qualify the reason for anyone's answer to that poll question. They don't! They just pose questions to elicit the spin they want.

If I was able to wave a magic wand over polling companies, I would make a knowledge-base question a prerequisite for participation in any poll.

Not only would they have to account for age, sex, other demographics like party affiliation, etc, but also for knowledge of the issue on which they are being polled.

Not tough questions
Just for example: Name the vice president
or
Name two countries that touch the border of Iraq.

22 Years experience I can say that is true. men in Uniform have a natural instinct to save the Female they hear in distress, even at the peril of their own safety. There is nothing more frightening to me than to hear a female officer's voice indicating distress, not just because she may be in trouble, but the wild chain reaction of events it sets off much more than if it is a Male Officer. Some women can handle themselves better than men, most cannot and they should never have relaxed the standards to accommodate weaker women. The Firearm is the equalizer, but you have to jump through ridiculous hoops to prove you had to use it.

"A handful of pro-war people, some volunteer and some probably paid to be there, will stage a counter-demonstration. This relatively tiny pro-death contingent will garner 50 percent of the media coverage if those on the side of peace do everything right. If a single demonstrator for peace turns violent in any way, that story will take up far more than 50 percent of the news, and that news will hurt the cause of peace and justice."

I myself have been called much worse...and by people claiming to be "conservative" on other websites.

But this just goes to illustrate the echo chamber mentality of the Libtards...it someone is speaking out against them then obviously they HAVE to be "paid'.
