Republican Rudy Giuliani is the most appealing presidential contender in the United States, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 31 per cent of respondents say they will definitely vote for the former New York City mayor if he runs for president in 2008.
Democratic New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is a close second with 30 per cent, followed by Democratic Illinois senator Barack Obama with 28 per cent, Republican Arizona senator John McCain with 21 per cent, and Democratic former North Carolina senator John Edwards with 20 per cent.
When asked which candidate they would definitely not support in the 2008 presidential ballot, 46 per cent of respondents mention Rodham Clinton. Edwards is second on the list with 39 per cent, followed by Obama with 37 per cent, McCain with 34 per cent, and Giuliani with 28 per cent.

That should be emphasized - all of us should and must vote our conscience, and political best judgment. JimRob's jeremiad's, or anyone else's, are not going to change any minds. Only new hard information will, and new candidates hopping in (if any) and more particularly, how the candidates perform under stress, and how the polls evolve, both in the primary and the General.

It amazes me how far down the sewer the GOP has gone to even consider a candidate like Giuliani. By all accounts he should be running on the other side. Heck even the Dems have candidates that take more conservative stands than Giuliani does. No way he wins an election anyways. Won't get the Christian vote due to his pro-abortion views. Won't get the vote from those of us who actually believe in the constitution, especially those of us who hold the 2nd Amendment as sacred which it is. Nope no chance. Only good from this is that the GOP will go down in flames in 08 and hopefully regroup and get back to real conservative values and candidates.
Welcome to FR! The socialists in the Republican and Democrat parties think alike and are therefore essentially one party. It would be more effective for Conservatives to distinguish themselves from the socialist Republicans by forming their own party. Doing so would restore the two party system.

"I would think it was something like an unwanted or unsolicited posts would be closer. Just because something is repeated does not make it spam unless it is unwanted or breaks some kind of rule that Jim has. Right?"
You are right, that's exactly what spam is! But it won't matter to these liberals, they make up their own definitions for just about anything.

It is really the null set. Nobody pays it any mind.
You do.
Narses is spending a lot of time with an endeavor that signifies next to nothing with her methodology.
Sure it does. Many folks have told me so. The more the truth about Rudy gets out, the better.

I believe Dog Gone was referring to spam, not threads. I merely suggested that if the title of the thread does not interest you, or offends you, do not join in the discussion. It's that simple.
P.S. I did not call you a name, yet you, without knowing me from a hole in the wall, called me a "liberal loonie." I believe that no name-calling is listed in the FR rules.

Not all posters here agree with Mr. Robinson, particularly when it comes to his political judgment, about what works and wins, and what doesn't. I also profoundly disagree with some of his positions on policy grouds. I don't make that any kind of secret.

Only new hard information will, and new candidates hopping in (if any) and more particularly, how the candidates perform under stress, and how the polls evolve, both in the primary and the General. Especially now - before the debates have even taken place. If we are not about freedom - what are we about? I don't like to see either side pressuring, threatening, intimidating others as to how they *should* vote. I'm amazed sometimes reading arguments over who people will vote for in the general election - November 2008. LOL Good grief - that is light years away.
People *are* free to support or not support whoever they want(s). The more all sides understand and respect that - perhaps the more they will be respectful and persuasive in their posts - rather than the unhelpful spam, name-calling, intimidation and threats.
It may be, however, that the divide is just too great - and the animosity too entrenched and that a political realignment is where this will all lead.

Narses, your posts here are appreciated by the majority of us on FR. Don't let a few liberal loonies tell you otherwise. The only reason these Rudygogaga fans continue to harass you, about your so called spams, is because they fear that as more people find out the truth about RINO Rudy the less support he will get. They fear truth, as most liberals do. Keep up the good work--you ARE appreciated!

Only an American Woman on Ditz patrol would see LIKABILITY as a presidential qualification..
Sadly MOST American Women fit that mold..
With Hispanic Women its probably, Hair thing..
Most democrats are women and most liberals are women..

Y'know, sometimes a liberal will make an accurate observation - for all the wrong reasons. I recently saw Chris Rock on television, commenting that of the candidates, he liked Obama. Asked about Rudy, he responded (paraphrased): "Rudy is great in a crisis... he's like a Pit Bull. Which is great if, for example, someone is breaking into your house. If there's no crisis, though, the Pit Bull might eat the children."
That could just as easily have been the misgivings of a conservative, given Rudy's stated positions on some very crucial issues.
