Political Theater: The congressional testimony of Valerie Plame, the 'spy' who became a Vanity Fair cover girl, was staged to embarrass the Bush White House. It actually completed Plame's exposure as a fraud.
When all was said and done, the least preposterous sight at Friday's House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing could be found in the audience: namely, the woman dressed in hot pink who kept standing up behind Plame during her testimony to show the television viewers her 'Impeach Bush' T-shirt.

Thanks for the post. I love Investors Business Daily!

And this little piggy squealed, "Boo-Hoo-Hoo" all the way to the bank.
"....he woman dressed in hot pink who kept standing up behind Plame during her testimony to show the television viewers her 'Impeach Bush' T-shirt.
Karl Rove: So you understand your mission?
Female secret agent: Yeah, I have to sit where the TV cameras can see me, and stand up when that woman speaks.
Karl Rove: That's right. Good luck, we'll be looking for you on TV.
Say what you will..she is a "Babe".
"the woman dressed in hot pink who kept standing up behind Plame during her testimony to show the television viewers her 'Impeach Bush' T-shirt."
That my friends was no woman, it was a cross dresser that shows up at a lot of Code Pink marches.
There was a thread here on FR yesterday complete with pictures.
There are 'two' Plame/Wilson stories. The one most people hear is from the DBM... and the lesser known one is heard in the NewMedia. When all's said and done... the former wins hands down.
"Babe"! Like the pig?
GWB has no one to blame for all this crap than his oun implementation of Bush Sr. 'Kinder Gentler' administration.
He deserves all this, we, and the rest of the citizens don't.
it all depends on your age
naturally the 25 year olds will think she's just another Mom
for us guys at 60 she's definitely OK
(we're leaving politics entirely out of the conversation here)
Agreed
It's depressing to think that most of the public will never hear about Victoria Toensing's testimony that day.
And, your point is?
I saw the picture and was pretty sure that the subject in pink was a cross-dresser. What I still haven't figured out is, which direction the person is crossing.
One interesting fact that hasn't been mentioned in the media all week was Wilson's job with the Kerry campaign during this time....and I am really po'ed that even the right publications aren't pushing it......

...."According to the Vanity Fair piece, both of the Wilsons were present with Kristof and it is reasonable to assume that Valerie Plame Wilson at least listened attentively as her husband provided politically loaded misinformation to a Times byline reporter. Mr. Wilson casually disclosed his wife's maiden name in the preparation of numerous biographical sketches beginning with Who's Who and including Corporate and Public Strategy Advisory Group, the Middle East Institute and the EPIC Forum. Twenty people provided biographical sketches as participants in the antiwar EPIC Forum on June 14, 2003, some three weeks prior to the publication of Wilson's fable on the New York Times editorial page. Joseph Wilson was the only forum participant to include even a mention of a spouse, let alone her maiden name.
The Kerry Campaign must have been impressed with the Wilsons' ability to gull a Times reporter by having source and confirmation share a common last name, for soon after Kristof's article appeared, Wilson was named as an advisor to the campaign' and held that position until the exposure of his prevarications. Wilson's status as a Kerry advisor, coupled with the Times' own Kristof having swallowed whole Wilson's tale, was sufficient for the Times to grant Wilson its editorial page on July 6th, 2003. The Wilsons, working together, had achieved a level of national notoriety based entirely upon their manipulation of the Kerry Campaign and the New York Times."
Yeah, that "woman" was a guy in drag. Talk abpout clueless reporting...
