ON CAPITOL HILL Valerie Wilson Testifies
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) chairs a House Oversight and Government Reform Ctme. hearing on the disclosure of CIA Agent Valerie Plame Wilson's identity. The hearing will look into whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding the identity of Ms. Wilson.
FRIDAY, C-SPAN AT 10AM ET
...food for thought
And would you EVER send someone on another mission if they came back and went on every tv show to talk about it?
Finally, when your husband went on a public speaking tour, did you hang your head in shame, because I sure would have?
Placemark
"She is now saying someone else told her to write up that email"
She was so opposed to sending Joe, he went twice.
ease up I only provided a source...
Evidently not, AU!
I predict that there will be NO questions for Toensing this afternoon.
The Spy Who Loved Me?
Idiot.
"You are 100% right, remember Kathleen Willey was a total Clinton supporter,"
Precisely. There are no worse hypocrites than the Clintons.
The republicans are using the dem cowardly tactic of hiding from the hearing. I think any good attorney could expose her in about the five minutes they give you to question her. It might take 10 or 20, but not hard if you arten't afraid to confront her.
Exactly, we need some Republicans with the guts to take a stand and start asking all those "questions that cannot be asked"..... force the commie scum Waxman to gavel the hearing to a close and/or try to discipline them in front of the cameras...... force the thuggish 'Rats to show their true colors to all who can see.
What can the committee chairman do to a member who asks the forbidden questions? Aside from wielding the gavel and yelling at someone to shut up (would be great political theater for the Republicans to force Waxman into that corner), does anyone know what are the possible sanctions to a committee member who has the guts to break out from the straightjacket the 'Rats have created for this political farce? [I realize none of our Republicans have the guts to put up a public fight on this, but I'm just wondering how it might go down if any of the Republicans actually did stand up to the commiecrats over this?]
I agree
BTW .. Code Pink is STILL in the committee room and have not been removed
If she was covert the CIA would not have allowed Wilson to write that oped.
One fact you will never hear brought up is that when Plame was having an affair with a married man (Joe Wilson) she was committing an egregious security violation.
That is often enough in itself to get you bounced from the agency.
In fact, it is probably the most common reason for people being kicked out of the agency.
And then her favored answer was "Congressman, I am not a lawyer..." in response to questions that don't even remotely require legal training to answer. LOL
Did anyone ask her about her dinner with Hilary? Her book? She seems to be having quite the time of it despite her all important CIA career being ruined - by her own husband with her obvious approval.
Lee'sGhost wrote: Yeah, but other than that, she's hot.
So is Hell!
LOL!
For anyone who thinks that cspan went away, today's House Session opened at 12 noon and closed at 12:05. The camera is now showing the riveting footage of people milling around the CIA Leak Hearing room.
I caught that ... earlier in her testimony she said the FIRST she heard about it was on July 14th in Novak's article. Then she said there at the last that they knew at least the week before and tried to stop it.
"What a stupid, libelous statement against former President Bush."
Can we please get some intelligent people to run for Congress? Even if they were Democrats, it would be a major improvement.
