ON CAPITOL HILL Valerie Wilson Testifies
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) chairs a House Oversight and Government Reform Ctme. hearing on the disclosure of CIA Agent Valerie Plame Wilson's identity. The hearing will look into whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding the identity of Ms. Wilson.
FRIDAY, C-SPAN AT 10AM ET
Well, so much for hearing Victoria Toesnsing's testimony. They've gone back to the full House.
No....most people don't agree with you. You are part of the liberal, gun-grabbing wing of the republican party. Most folks on this forum are still Conservatives. If you have a problem with that you are at the wrong forum, sweet pea.
Then why was no one charged with outing her?
Waxman opened the proceedings with a letter from the CIA asserting Plame's covert status. Period. End of guestioning.
All of this has just been theater. That is why only 2 Republicans have volunteered to participate.
Cspan switched to the House
You can still watch the hearing here

Davis is saying they need to involve the CIA in this hearing to get better information to find out what happened
Yes!
And these people are making decisions 24/7 that influence our lives?
God help us all.
This makes me want to vomit when I hear Waxman LIE THROUGH HIS TEETH about Wilson's NY Times piece. Will any "R" refute this nonsense and ask why Wilson LIED in either that piece or his Senate hearing???!
LOL! I thought I miss-heard that... what a bunch of idiots.
that was always the plan.......even deeper is here in Phoenix where our gubner is Janet Napalatino, a former Hillary employee and lover. All planted to get the electoral vote.
re: Waxman opened the proceedings with a letter from the CIA asserting Plame's covert status. Period. End of guestioning.
What was the date of the letter and who was it signed by?
Is it entered into record?
Oh... and what's the font?
So far, they've wasted hours of our time. Who cares what Valerie thinks? Ask someone that matters for crying out loud. What a waste of time this whole thing has been.
In this Congress??? Never.
I gotta cut her some slack on that. My wife says Vietmanese.
"I think ALL of us should be outraged."
After Fitz fizzled, the Dems acted fast to revive the Plame "scandal". I'm still more outraged at Fitz and the legal system. I expect far worse out of Democrats in Congress. They're just acting true to form.
WHY are the Republicans boycotting???
Is it because they want to throw Bush, Cheney and Rove under the bus also??
Yes she did...lol. How do we continue to exist at all as a country with these illiterate morons as our representatives?
Finally, Mr. Kristof closes with a value-added Premium Truth Select wrinkle - apparently, he has decided to provide a very subtle (unannounced, we might say) correction to his Oct 11, 2003 column. We dare not predict what tomorrow will bring, but this is from the current version of his entry, as he deplores the attacks on Joe Wilson, private citizen:And the fact is that his wife's career at CIA has been destroyed; she's never going to be Rome Station Chief.Fascinating.
Yes, that is indeed fascinating and brings to light the relationship between Kristof and the Wilsons. How would Kristof know such a juicy detail about Valerie's future ambitions? Easy...Joe told him. You see, Kristof was the original person who wrote about Joe Wilson's trip {admittedly} as related to him by none other than Wilson himself.
And guess where this whole story began...at the Niger Embassy (in Rome) where the letterhead and seals for the forgeries were stolen.
I just don't know what to say when I know more than an elected U.S. representative does.
Ignorance on parade.
