Real covert officers under real cover don't go near Langley when they get back from a covert assignment. Under Plame's definitition of covert, then everyone working overseas for the CIA at an Embassy, including the secretaries, would be considered covert.

She just now said that even though she wasn't in the field she was still covert. This after saying she traveled overseas within the past 5 years. But she said she and joe discussed her going back in the field AFTER the children got older.
