What I got from her testimony is that she suggested and made a few calls about Wilson, she was in no position to request anything per her testimony.

It's not Congress .. it's the Dems

They've been having these hearings for years down in the basement

But now that they are in the majority .. they moved them upstairs

It's all part of the lesson we are all suppose to learn

Bush never said that.

He said it was a serious charge is and said "...anyone who commited this crime would be fired."

That's ALL he said.

"She is not a congressman."

Tell her:

Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton - Home

Waxman said they were going to keep the record open, based on some of what Victoria said....so yes, he essentially called her a liar. Interesting that he is going to keep the record open, since it looks like Val herself committed perjury during this hearing. She said she had nothing to do with sending her husband; this is in direct contradiction to the CIA folks who testified at the Libby trial who said SHE DID have something to do with sending him. I hope the pubbies are awake, but given their lack of attendance and performance today, I seriously doubt it.

I didn't hear any of the panel call Victoria a liar. Charles Krauthammer said Valerie was not covert, and I don't think he used the word "liar", but he alluded to the fact that she was not being truthful.

It may be pretty standard to keep the record open after these hearings, to give people a chance to put in newspaper articles and documentation.

I thought GRRRRR was saying that Fred and Mort called Victoria a liar.

Just trying to be clear here... :-)

Krauthammer suggested that Valerie was, perhaps, less than truthful?

Is that what you were typing about, GRRRRR?

Uh, ok...the actual word liar might not have been said...but they laughed at her, said she wasn't truthful, she was living a lie of some sorts in her own mind, making things up... etc....close enough for me..LOL!

Hey, I'm trying to watch basket ball AND stay FReeper watchful!!!

yeah...um, that's the ticket...less than truthful...hysterically funny...depends on the meaning of the word 'truth'???

She's a lying scum bucket sow of a liar. If there were ANY Repubs with a SPINE, they would be on TV asking the same questions published elsewhere on FR...

"wasn't WIDELY KNOWN in the GT cocktail circuit where I worked"...or words to that effect. Makes me wanna puke.

WHERE ARE OUR GOP SPINES???

I had to run an errand and missed the whole panel discussion, I will watch it on the rerun tonight. I'm glad they were laughing at her -- she is like a cartoon....I mean, she is like a general (her words).

What a bafoon.

BTW: Tonight on hardball, David Gregory was hosting and Matt Cooper was a guest. Cooper said that David was the recipient of a leak (from Fleisher per the Libby trial). David REMAINED COMPLETELY SILENT on this topic. He still refuses to even address it. And this is a guy who screams at the WHite House for not coming forward with information? What a joke he and all of NBC/MSNBC is/are.

I think I heard something important during Victoria's exchange with Waxman. Wondering if you all heard it too...

He was saying that Valerie was 'covert.' Victoria said she was not 'covert under the statute.'

Waxman kept trying to shut her down when she was making the point that while some of Valerie's status could be labeled as covert under CIA or Federal Paygrade definitions, she was not covert under the statute that the Dems claimed the 'leaks' violated. (There were no 'leaks' if no laws were violated, they were conversations.)

This is purely a lawyer game. They are using and abusing language to bring down the government. Thanks to the troll for tipping me off to this ploy.

Clarice has been careful about defining terms as she's writing; we need to be doing this also. JOM folks are careful with language generally, but I don't know if they are 'on to' this aspect yet....

Sorry to interrupt the game. ;-)

I first thought you said Victoria was lying. Glad I checked before I had a public conniption fit. :-)

Valerie was parsing like crazy. I'm sure her testimony was written by and vetted carefully by VIPS/VLWC lawyers to keep her 'technically' honest.

Her impromptu answers will be fun to go over with a fine-toothed comb.

With the dems in charge of committees, they are in charge of creating the rolls for who questions her.. Never think that little things like who controls committees isn't important.

Yep. Even RINOs can be useful idiots in obtaining a majority and running committee's. For that reason alone RINOs are preferable to dems.

Sadly, I must remind you that Fred Thompson was bamboozled by John Glenn when Fred was Chairman of a Senate committee looking into the Chinese money going to the Clinton election campaign. I have little confidence that Thompson could handle these present day democrats.

I remember that and it was a turning point in my thinking about Thompson. Thompson will go nowhere and should go nowhere. We can do better than failed two-term Senator/actor. Mitt Romney will be the nominee. You can take it to the bank.

Lol. She is crazy, I guess. The White House today said that they would not support adding house seats in the District or Utah saying that it would be unconstitutional. She is a delegate to the House of Representatives.
