Sadly, I must remind you that Fred Thompson was bamboozled by John Glenn when Fred was Chairman of a Senate committee looking into the Chinese money going to the Clinton election campaign. I have little confidence that Thompson could handle these present day democrats.

I remember that and it was a turning point in my thinking about Thompson. Thompson will go nowhere and should go nowhere. We can do better than failed two-term Senator/actor. Mitt Romney will be the nominee. You can take it to the bank.

I think Fred Thompson has a better chance than Romney.

I like Romney but the Mormon thing is more of a downer to people than you may realize... not as bad as the Muslim thing but ...

I really like Fred; he's got presence, he's conservative and if he can convince me he won't be run over by dems again, I'm for him.
