"Rudy supports the WOT, limited government, tax cuts, deregulation, and other important Republican principles."Yeah, NYC gun owners saw how Giuliani supports limited govm't when he refused to reup their permits. Considered them criminals and deregulated them by ending their permit burden. The rest of the nation's citizens saw the same when he judge shopped for another like minded liberal grabber to do his bidding suing the gun industry.
" If Hillary is elected because you stay home, it will be your fault."
If hillery is elected it'll be the fault of those who elected a putz that considers his fellow citizens who exercise their rights to be terrorists and criminals. Then there's considerations that he's force his fellow citizens, that hold certain acts as immoral, to involve themselves in those acts directly by using their hard earned tax money to fund those acts.

The second amendment is my litmus test. Rudy is a dirt bag gun grabber no better than either Clinton. I'll be most likely to go with whoever the NRA supports; all other issues put together do not count for as much with me.

Would Christ vote for Rudy or McCain....I don't think so.
Christ tells us that HIS KINGDOM is not of this world.
So don't throw Israel out as your strawman argument. You have no way of knowing that Rudy or McCain will continue support of Israel
Besides - God will take care of Israel once America ceases its support.
"Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it."
Personally, I will always support Israel....no matter what.
Even if my country doesn't.

President Hillary would at least unite the GOP/Conservatives after 4 years.
A President Rudy McRomney would divide the GOP like no other.
Take a look at Illinois (George Ryan) to find out what happens when you elect a RINO.
The Repub's. used to be united in Illinois. Now the democrats totally have their way.

I voted write-in. It was a primary vote according to the poll, so 3rd-party didn't make any sense, nor did staying home. That was my thinking, too.

A President Rudy McRomney would divide the GOP like no other. I'm sure that's true of Giuliani. Just look what has happened to this forum since the Rudybots started pushing their boy. He may well lose (one can always pray), but FreeRepublic will never be the same again. For one thing, we can never again be sure we are talking (about anything) with people who accept the basic principles Jim Robinson set forth for the discussion. These days, it seems we are mostly talking with a weird group of pro-abort leftists who don't much like Hillary Clinton.

Good point.
This is the discussion we need to have, before the primary. I really think that many on the Republican side are simply addicted to power, but use the mantra of "President Hillary" to silence all dissent against even the most despicable of RINOs. But I counterbalance that with the absolute dread of what a Democratic president with a Democratic majority would do to this country.

a weird group of pro-abort leftists For some of us, abortion doesn't even make the top ten issues we care most about in a candidate.
Think of the best anti abortion candidate you know, make him/her president. What changes from now?
To: JeanS
Write in. I am still baffled that McCain gets any traction with Conservatives. It seems that the only times he was effective in the Senate was when it was to our detriment.

Most recently with the Rockefellar bunch controlling the party apparatus.
