That's not real. The Spartans didn't have CGI.

I won't see this movie more than 10 more times. It's just too inaccurate to bear. :P

Except for that fact that the mullahs ignore any history of iran before islam, so they won't care one way or another about this film. In fact, they don't even want their people to acknowledge themselves as persians or respect ancient persain culture. Their quest to be perfect muslims means they must view themselves as arabs, otherwise you can still easily be denounced as a kaffir.

It was a very cool movie on many levels.
I suggest that George W. Bush watch the movie and use it to reconfigure the rules of engagement in Iraq. That's if he can break himself away from picking up boxes of produce in South America and telling us it's one of the highlights of his entire presidency. How weird was that?

Clearly those Spartan troops had a "don't ask, don't tell," policy.

Of course they are mad, it shows at sometime in the past they did more than kill children and old ladies.

All those trailers on YouTube.com are beyond cool (no wonder they're getting sued out of existence!!!)
I think I'll go see "300" tomorrow. (I hope I can smuggle a pint of whiskey into the wide screen theater, now that would be cool!!!)

Totally off topic. But, this Transformer Cartoon clip kills me. Younger FReepers might remember the show. Sorry for the hijack. But funny stuff.
Warning, Graphic Language.

FWIW, homosexual relationships were encouraged among Spartan troops.

homosexual relationships were encouraged among Spartan troops. yipee!!! That means every homosexual today is a "Spartan"..... as well as Lincoln...and Jesus....and all the most creative artists, poets, writers, composers....in fact taking it up the rear is normal and sex with women is abnormal...
whew!... I'm glad that's all cleared up.... Now we can deal with Global Warming.
Today's homosexuals have as much in common with a Spartan as a Volkswagen has with a F-22 Raptor.
Self-centered, promiscuous, effeminate men with abnormal sexual identification ..... you're thinking of Macedonians and the movie "Alexander".... this is a fantasy movie about guys that kick a$$. ... not poke it.... but nice try.
