Former governor McGreevey seeks sole custody of 5-year-old daughter

McGreevey seeks sole custody of 5-year-old daughter Former governor's amended divorce lawsuit also asks for child support Tuesday, March 13, 2007 BY JOSH MARGOLIN Star-Ledger Staff

Former Gov. James E. McGreevey has revised his divorce lawsuit against his estranged wife and is now seeking sole custody of the couple's 5-year-old daughter -- and child support.

The new documents make no mention of a "matrimonial settlement agreement" that McGreevey's original divorce filing said had resolved all issues of custody and support. Advertisement

McGreevey, who resigned as governor after announcing he had had an affair with a male aide, has retained a new lawyer and filed the revised papers with the Superior Court in Elizabeth on Feb. 20.

In a brief interview yesterday, McGreevey declined to discuss the particulars of his case or why he should be granted full custody of daughter Jacqueline. He said only: "It's a private family matter and I know we both want what's in the best interest for our daughter."

Contacted by cell phone yesterday, Dina Matos McGreevey hung up without answering questions.

Last month, after McGreevey originally filed for divorce, Matos McGreevey issued a statement disputing his claim that they had reached a settlement. "We continue to have profound differences about what our daughter should be exposed to, and until they are resolved, there will be no agreement," the statement said.

The revised lawsuit filed by attorney Matthew Piermatti asks a judge to grant custody of Jacqueline to the former governor and grant visitation rights to the former first lady. It seeks child support from Matos McGreevey, leaving it to the judge to decide the amount.

The mother is the one who stupidly stood right next to him with a sweet smile on her face as he proudly announced that he was a "gay-american" (thereby proclaiming their marriage a farce)

They are both too stupid to raise children.

Do judges give sole custody of little girls to men who cruise the Jersey turnpike looking for random hookups in public rest stops?

Why isn't Greevy in jail anyway, for diverting Homeland Security money to his gay lover?

Oh wait- it's NEW JERSEY.

Our world is turning upside down faster than I thought. Thieves and perverts are celebrated.

In MY court he would be lucky to see the child on visiting days at the prison he should be in. That was not just Homeland Security dollars but the peoples' tax dollars he was using to pay his ummm friend.

Lets see, I cheat on my wife with another guy, while she's in the hospital having my child... I give a job to my homosexual lover he's completely unqualified for and compromise national security....

Not to mention that I have a mental disorder that causes me to find other mens hairy butts sexually attractive...

But Hey, I deserve sole custody of the child????

Oh, I don't think so.

Question is, will this judge rule in the best interests of the child, or try to show himself to be "tolerant" and demolish this child at the alter of political correctness?

New Jersey they're knocking down the barriers of sexual orientation discrimination so as long as he's claiming any of the documented 24 variations of sexual orientation (actually its only limited by man's perverse imagination), other than the universal norm of heterosexual, he could be granted "special" protection from discrimination. Plus, a homosexual man trumps a heterosexual woman, because homosexuality is now chic and deserves more emphasis regarding discrimination protection than a woman.

Oh, I'm sure he'll call in any favors he can to get the judge he wants and the poor child will spend the rest of her life with a variety of two daddys.

The word "estranged" implies that she is at fault. The Master Race mentality of the Gay advocate will be their undoing.

Neither, this is NJ. He'll take the cash and do what he's told.

All his dirty laundry has been aired in public and he is petitioning for full custody.

Makes one wonder what the heck her story is if he thinks this is worth pursuing. She might be even more wacky as he is.

You've got to hope and pray that the child has supportive grandparents who are more normal than either of her parents.
