NO ONE MENTIONED RUSSERT's FALSE AFFIDAVIT. Maybe I'm making too much of it.

Fred Thompson sure heavily alluded to it .. I wish he'd mentioned bigheadtim by name, but the message was there. Fred's cool .. he's being very savvy and not inflicting any wounds ... yet.

Run, Fred, Run!

Absolutely and I also believe until after the 2008 election which probably how fast the legal system runs will be about the same time.

He's [Edwards] a man, not a woman.

That's debatable.

I suspect with all the appeals and possible retrial he will not serve any time before it is political expedient to pardon him.

By the way for those of you who were worried about it, according to Joan Hawkings you can stop worrying about the NA(North American) Union. It ain't gonna happen.
Debunking Jerome Corsi big time, Hawkins makes quite a case. Cheek it for yourself here:

Sadly, kabar is right. Bush won't do it.

What Bush should really do is pardon Libby AND the two border guards in prison, fire the prosecutors, rearrest Sandy Berger, indict Rep. Jefferson now, begin a massive investigation into the Sen. Reid land deal and the influence peddling of Rep. Murtha and Nancy Pelosi. IF Bush were to actively begin a half dozen or more actions, the Democrats would not know which to complain over the most.

Not my idea, this comes from what good old Bill Clinton did over and over and never paid a price for his actions.

Michael Barone on Fox News just said that one thing that will go against Rudy was that he was instrumental in Pres. Bush nominating Bernie Kerik for Homeland Security Director..and is shows he isn't good at discerning "character".

Well...maybe so....but, I dare say that character or not...I think if Bernie Kerik had been made Homeland Security Director, it would be MUCH better run and more effective than it has been...but, that is JMO>

Quite possible and I'm no attorney, though I have a nephew who is one, and I did spend the night at a Holiday Inn Express once.

I seem to remember, and the attorneys here can correct me, but I think an appeal does not necessarily preclude a judge from ruling that you must serve your sentence while under appeal.

I am probably wrong and stand to be corrected.

Wow, am I glad to hear you say that!

From my standpoint, every time that GW ignores what the rats do they just think of even more things to do.

They are like the terrorists. You can't really talk to them, you have to spank their butts before they understand.

Consequently we remain on defense all the time instead of offense.

The rats are the dirty party not us! They have much to apologize for not us! It's time the general population knew that and it was more at the forefront,of course if GW doesn't do it that always leaves us!

I suspect it depends on each case the same as in Britain but even if he does serve time I suspect it will be your equalivanlent to custody and not real jail if an appeal or retrial is granted.

I really wish Thompson had run for Governor of Tennessee in 2002 rather than back to Hollywood.

I am not a fan of career politicians, but historically, Governors are more likely to win the Presidency.

However, Thompson seems to have a presence, call it gravitas, if you wish, which may make up for a lack of executive experience.

And his acting skills, combined with his history as a federal prosecutor could make him devastating to his opponents in any debate.
