Did anyone else notice (on MTP) Ambassador Khalilzad referred to his counterpart in the meetings as "the Iranian".....?

They must have gotten along famously. I'm guessing we can expect great strides after these talks.

Maxine Waters isn't just clueless...she is a close friend of that dictator that was run out of Haiti...

She was NOT happy that the US helped transport him out of the country.

IOW, her best friends are dictators and communists.

Yeah. I like Fred Barnes but the man stutters so much I want to reach through the TV at times to slap him.

On another note, for giggles and grins....I'm going to sponsor a contest this week on my Blog. It's called "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON IN THIS PICTURE?"

I'll give you guys a head start. HEH.

Very few can follow Bill Kristol "all" the time. He's another one that needs a break once in a while, time for others to take some of these panelists places and get a little new blood in there.

I agree with you McGavin; I think a little patience for a pardon is the best approach. Libby wants to be completely vindicated and a pardon would not do that. I would only wish that the stupid Judge Walton will recognize his reputation is in the gutter for how he allowed this case to be tried. He can rectify it by overturning the verdict (or whatever means he has to remove the guilty verdict); otherwise, he will be forever known as another Judge Ito. His decisions thoughout the case were favorable to Fitzy. Fitzy should be tried for prosecutorial misconduct with Russert filing a false affidavit with Fitzy's knowledge. The whole thing sucks.

I was pleased and the cynic in surprised how far the VP statement re Libby went.

"""
I am very disappointed with the verdict. I am saddened for Scooter and his family. As I have said before, Scooter has served our nation tirelessly and with great distinction through many years of public service.

Since his legal team has announced that he is seeking a new trial and, if necessary, pursuing an appeal, I plan to have no further comment on the merits of this matter until these proceedings are concluded. """

Agreed, I have NO problem with Maxine Waters being the face of the Democrat party today.

if he is acquitted, he can go after the government to pay his legal expenses.

Very good point. I would like to see Fitzfong be assessed with those costs (just dreaming).

Politically for the Republican Party and how the media would handle it I think it would be if you have any hope of getting a Republican in the White House in November 2008.

Makes sense, but I wonder how big a gamble that is if the wackmenenjobs types now ruling Iran actually do get nukes.

I realize if we attack them they get lots of sympathy from everywhere and we get even more terror types in our face!I just don't have a good plan in mind to get rid of these bozos.

I think you're right, Snugs. Although hey, they didn't have the courage to admit it.

On another note, Snugs, today I am making Paula Deen's MACARONI AND CHEESE.....Paula Deen is a big Food Network star here in the states.

Macaroni and cheese is the food of the gods, as you know. This meal is better than sex...almost. I am always on the prowl for good recipes for Mac and cheese. Isn't that a big deal meal in Britain? And tell me what's wrong with my granddaughter, three years old, she don't like mac and cheese? I never heard of a child didn't like mac and cheese.

Recipe below:
Paula Deen’s Mac and Cheese

¾ pound elbow macaroni
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese-about 10 ounces
3 large eggs
½ cup sour cream
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Preheat the oven to 350 deg. Lightly butter an 8-inX12-in baking dish. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the macaroni until al dente. Drain; transfer to a bowl. Add 2 cups of the cheese and toss until melted.

In another bowl, whisk the eggs with the sour cream. Add the milk, the butter and ½ teaspoon of salt. Stir the mixture into the macaroni and pour it into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese on top. Bake for 35 minutes, until bubbling and the cheese is melted. Let the macaroni and cheese stand for 15 minutes before serving.

't's about time someone mentioned the fact the Clinton Administration fired over 90 US Attorneys.'

Chris Wallace saying that 'they' did not know about it does not speak well for their 'journalistic' abilities.

OKAY!! I'm definitely a bigger FREDHEAD. Yes!!

I wish he'd have been more decisive today .. I'd be SO happy to see him get in, but I'll take his cautionary comments now... he closed NO doors.

I liked every single answer he had.

And, I think he's right about the times being so different today. There's still time to scan the horizon ... if he announced in May or August, overnight the groundswell would explode, with the 24 hr news cycle and internet.

The $$ and staffs that are being committed now may be a large issue, I don't know about that .. but I AM surprised that he didn't use his "young family" as a reason for NOT considering it.

If that was at play at all with his young wife and kidlets, I believe he would've definitely announced it and closed that door decisively.

WOO HOO!

Draft Fred Thompson

PS ... Maxine's *definitely* had serious cosmetic work done. If only she'd just shut up or get a voice transplant. EUUUWWW .... whattahag.
