NAIROBI: The Kenyan police have arrested a man they believe to be a key Al Qaeda suspect who tried to shoot down an Israeli airliner and helped plan the simultaneous bombing of a hotel in 2002 that killed 15 people, officials said.
The man's identity was not immediately confirmed, but investigators said they believe he is Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, a senior official in Kenya's security services told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the matter was classified.
Nabhan is wanted for questioning by the FBI and the Kenyan police for the 2002 attacks and the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed more than 200 people. Nabhan fled to Somalia after the attacks near Mombasa

Nice to see a series of dominoes fall our way recently... Yeah, but just remember it does NOT mean that Bush administration diplomacy, intelligence and military muscle is working (even though Bush has concentrated more attention on Africa, by far, than any previous American president, with a special emphasis on vastly increased aid, a wide array of policies encouraging good governance, the rule of law, and since 9-11 has put significant American special forces and other military resources into ungoverned regions of Africa, like Somalia and other parts of the horn of Africa, from which this perp apparently fled, to Kenya, where the forces that apparently caught him were very possibly trained by the American military).

Right ON!
President Bush and this administration has done more for the world than anybody seems to comprehend.
