National Association of Uniformed Services (NAUS) Supports Gathering of Eagles
NAUS NEWS
Gathering of Eagles
On March 17th, from 0700-1600 hours, a coalition of veterans and American patriots will gather at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., "to stand silent guard over our nation's memorials, in honor of our fallen, and in solidarity with our armed forces in harm's way today." The impetus of the gathering is in response to a planned anti-war protest on the same day. The last time the group ANSWER rallied for a "peace" march, they desecrated government buildings and memorials, including the painting of slogans on the U.S. Capitol.
The non-partisan mission statement of the "Gathering of Eagles" is to work in common respect and protect our Memorials from desecration, damage and dishonor.
NAUS supports the Gathering of Eagles who believe with us that "the war memorials are sacred ground; as such, we will not allow them to be desecrated, used as props for political statements, or treated with anything less than the solemn and heartfelt respect they-and the heroes they honor-deserve."
We encourage you to visit the Gathering of Eagles website http://gatheringofeagles.org/ and see what you can do to help.
Our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen stand in harm's way around the globe to defend our nation and our cherished liberties. NAUS asks you to please pray for their continued strength and protection-and pray as well for their families, who daily stand in support of their spouses, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, and their brothers and sisters.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

It was inspiring to hear that 6 year old recite the Pledge of Allegiance over the phone:
I pledge allegiance
to the Flag
of the United States of America
and to the Republic
for which it stands
One Nation
Under God
With Liberty
and Justice for all
Outstanding. Thanks for posting.
