The right IS standing by Ann. It's only people like Bill O'Reilly, McCain, Rudy and their bots on here that aren't. Oh, they'll "defend her right to say it", but they'll complain about her "venue for saying it" and how it is "tacky" and "potty mouth". Fact is that it is a Rohrshach test to see where you fit in the political spectrum. Defend Ann, and you're on the right, condemn her, and you're not. Simple as that.

Tommy Dale, that is a good one, and thank you!

Why should anyone defend Coulter? She is all about herself. She can defend herself.
To: nancyvideo
The stupid bulimic keeps blowing her own foot off. Why the heck should I support that?

I couldn't agree more. The left always stands behind their people - no matter what they do. This is one reason (among many) that we're better.
To: SerpentDove
Faggot jokes are always good, anywhere - especially when directed at members of the democrat party. And when directed at Silky Pony, they are more of a statement than a joke.

I support her without condition.. no matter what she says no matter how she says it. Without hearing what she says and without knowing the context in which it was said, I would support her at any time in anything! I have that much respect for her intellect, discernment and personal integrity. I have never and expect NEVER to hear her compromise herself or beliefs or to deliberately misrepresent ANYTHING, EVER, for any reason! Her honesty and absolute professional integrity along with her consummate ability to nail them on every turn is what is most galling to Liberals and the very thing they would most like to challenge if they could.

I don't think she should have specifically used THAT word, but I support her for everything. She's awesome.

She's free to speak her mind, but I am under no obligation to defend her for her own boorish behavior.Exactly.
She has the right to say what she likes, and we have the right to comment on it.

The right should be standing by Coulter. I know I am. Just goes to show we, as conservatives, aren't quite as smart as we think we are, collectively. So many miss her allusion to the FACT that certain words, thanks to Political Correctness, are off limits and that if one uses them, they must enter rehab.
Nevermind that we let the left define what is acceptable and what isn't.

She does own this issue and she's paying for it. She's a big girl and she will survive with or without me.
Personally the word has become increasingly distatefull to me as I've grown older.

I consider the word common and vulgar. Which is the reason it was banned from use in my home growing up and would be banned from my home if I were raising children today.
It is certainly not for use in a public venue such as CPAC. But comparatively, it is a relatively minor offense and I am not going to crucify Ann for it.

Ann did the right thing in view of how ballistic the media and lefties went regarding her comment - a joke, a flip comment. They are afraid she might send a trend and people will start to disregard the censorship imposed by the PC crowd.
We are faced with invasion across our borders, innocent people being jailed, war, terrorism, etc. - and people go into a frenzy over a word! This is absurd. While Ann has been called far worse, that apparently is okay. The left/liberals are hypocrites and so full of rage that they appear to lose touch with reality.

I fully agree. Republicans continually set themselves up for attacks from the left by abandoning their own. Ann's joke was a bit sophmoric for the C-PAC audience, but they could have pointed that out and laughed it off. But no, they have to get all up tight, embarrassed and offended.

It amuses me that Ann Coulter delivered a premeditated bombastic statement, intended to shock and draw attention to herself (which it did), she is benefitting immensely from it, and she is now portrayed as the "victim?"
Give me a break.
To: nancyvideo
Conservatives, on the other hand, are more likely to rely on the substance and facts of a debate ... Inferring Edwards is a faggot while making a joke when in fact there is no proof nor allegations he is a gay was the only issue I had. Nonetheless, I'm pleased with her speech, and cannot care less about the sensitive souls in the MSM.
