McCain Seeks to Change California Primary
Sen. John McCain's campaign "is mounting a stealth effort to change Republican presidential nomination rules in California to allow independents to vote in the Feb. 5 primary, party and campaign officials in the state" said, the Washington Times reports.
"The impact could be huge -- and potentially damaging to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney."
Earlier, we noted Romney's game plan was to take advantage of the complicated rules governing how California awards its delegates.
More McShanigans from MeCain.
He knows he's losing and he needs to knock out Romney because Romney seems to be overtaking him in some polls.
McCain can try to change anything he wants....except his RINO stripes. Just say "NO" to McCain in '08!
Why would it hurt Romney?
I have no idea. Something about Romney's game plan that was leaked by the press last week.
No just another reason for me NOT to support the Republican party, if they allow this kind of crap!
I encourage all, instead to DIRECTLY support the candidates they like, not the "National Republican Party"..!
Ummm John, it's already happening and you had nothing to do with it.
This just in... McCain Seeks to:
Next, McCain will be wanting them to allow illegals to vote.
McCain sees that he needs all the help he can get, as his poll numbers fall.
McCain needs to read that part of the Oath of Office that talks about defending The Constitution. He seems to try to find ways to trash it and overturn it.
What is with McCain? Can't he take a hint? Even his media buddies have thrown him on the tracks.
Senator, go back to Washington and try to undue the damage you've done. You can start by publicly kicking Feingold's butt in the parking lot.
We'll respect you in the morning. Honest.
I think California has closed primarys.
I don't know if you have to declare to vote but Calif does have closed primaries....they tried to change that a few years ago in the late 90s but it was reversed so only you can only vote in the primaries for the party you declared
McCain's middle name is stealth. His operatives tried several stealth underhanded things within the Arizona Republican Party, all of which failed.
I got a mailing from McCain today, asking for $$ and wanting me to fill out some kind of phony poll for his campaign. I thought there would be a segment where I could write in comments but I don't see one. I would have to say something like "Sen McCain doesnt get a penny from me because of his opposition to a little things called free speech!"
Like New Hampshire, McPain wants his Dim friends to be able to impose him on the GOP, against the GOP vote without them.

This doesn't help McCain at all! The Dem Primary will be competitive. The independents will evenly go to Rudy and Romney and McCain. Romney has hugh advantages in all the red counties. McCain is boxed in. If he pulls this kind of shennigans then it will infuriate the base against him.
hoice of Party. This is optional, but you must register with a party if you want to take part in that partys primary election, caucus, or convention
