I bought a Canon last year and it's supposedly capable but still haven't mastered half the things on it, my first digital.
As it appears to be, the way Dave said it, if the tire rolls out of the box and straight at an official, its no penalty, and the official will return the tire. If it rolls some other way, out of control, and not an official, it is.
Go figgure.
Nice work Mac! Quite a crowd for the Busch Race. I think it should be called "CUP LITE" in the future to reflect the cup drivers entered...
Johnson gets away with second tire violation

The offense? (captured by NY Texan!)
As if MW doesn't have enough people mad at him already. Whew boy he's done it now....he's the reason I don't watch that show any more.
He should be at his race shop figuring out what's wrong with his cars that can't qualify and fix that lame story about not knowing who put the funny junk in their fuel instead of flapping his mouth. BTW the suspended crew chief Hyder is back at his shop...he just can't be at the track. In the beginning they tried to say he did it and they were gonna fire him, but I guess not.
As I explained yesterday [and this is for anyone now reading the thread that may have missed it - not you] TJ was rattling on and on to Jr on the radio about taking two or four etc on the pitstop, so Jr was caught up in that and since Jeff was a lead lap car he just followed him in. Lapse in concentration but not dumb ass for sure. In the "riding" notes Hmiel did jump in at the last second which was too late and said the pits were closed.
They should have discussed the tire out of the box and the officials calling one and not the other which Nascar says is a judgement call.
You did an awesome job putting that together for us!!
Thanks Mac.
Great pics...Thanks!
Oh nooooooo they just pancaked the Stardust.
Are there any old hotels left there anymore?
We used to fly there at least twice a month and contemplated moving there once upon a time in the early 90's but chose to go to Wyoming [blizzard city] and invest in the B&B.
Now I'm thinking if we had just bought a house in Vegas we would have tripled our money and I would be living in a place where you can get fresh fruit and veggies and shopping etc. rather than being here. Darn!
We left the house early all three days, on the road by 6:00am. On Sunday, we watched sunrise from the parking lot.
The longest it took me to get home was on Sunday - 1 hour and 20 minutes. Not too bad for a crowd that size. Traffic control has improved a lot since the days of those first couple races. I remember seeing the TV coverage of the mess.
Not sure about the cautions, seems like it was 6 or 7 last year.
Canon SD 600, just got it for Christmas. Cool little camera, still learning as well.
Thanks, how much memory does it use for that type/length of video? I have 1 gig cards.

It is sad news. Will forward to the Southland.
The longest clip I made was the start of the race and that was 60MB.
What I learned was that posting them is a bit of a pain. I tried Tinypic.com first, it hung about halfway through loading a 40MB file. Then I went to PhotoBucket. It flaked out a couple of times but eventually worked. Takes awhile to upload them as well.
May have to get daughter to 'splain it. She's got one of the fancy ones, don't remembr the number, but she has done them before.
On Nascar Now/ESPN Roger Penske feels he is way ahead of other teams on the COT. He is also building a test track in Mooresville about the size of Richmond with a road course on the inside!!
New city for a track may be ......Minneapolis St Paul. $200 million dollar facility by 2010. It's only talk so far, nothing with Nascar et al.
Not sure, to be honest. I need to make a drive down Las Vegas Blvd and see what's left. The 4 Queens and all those are still there.
We have inherited your tornado watch, warnings in the county next door.
Don't let file size fool you. Viewing length was only about 30 seconds, not that long really. Video eats memory!
Done dodging tornado's?
