"a variety of grungy women with tattoos, underarm hair and bad breath."

You mean he's moving to Seattle?

Bush should respond by promising not to pardon Harry Reid when Dingy is sent to prison for his crooked land deal.

Speaking of pardons -- the whole Libby-Marc Rich-Clinton pardon connection is just fascinating now. History may repeat itself 8 years later.

He said that politics played no role in the verdict, and claimed most jurors didn't know how others felt politically.

He also said that they discussed politics after the verdict

This jury smells to the heavens

Especially after that Rove and Cheney comment

What happened to "beyond a reasonable doubt" and "innocent until proven guilty"? I was sure he would get off since it was one person's word against another, and that is not sufficient proof of perjury.

Now if they had a stained blue dress, he would surely be guilty . . .

"Where is Rove and all these other guys...."

I find this interesting that they would focus on the Bush guys and not on the one, Armitage, that actually did the leaking. Why didn't they ask "where is Armitage"? the answer, because the judge limited the scope so that the heat was on the administration. The jury was out for political scalps and books, not justice.

Yes in court, he called her several times throughout the trial and in his closing arguments. Grounds for appeal and it being overturned.

The jury just didn't believe his defense against the particular charges.

Piss poor case though.

Even Robert Novak seems upset...I just saw him on Hannity and Colmes.

Of course Alan is STILL saying that Libby outed Plame, and she was a cover agent.....LOL

Sounds like the prosecution hand-picked the jury.

It's impossible for a Republican to get a fair trial in DC. I read somewhere where DC is more than 80% demoncrat. I doubt there was a single Republican on the jury.

The jury was arguably stupid as well. One of the questions the jury asked the judge is, "Is it illegal for Libby to lie to a newspaper reporter?"

I must not be expressing myself clearly. "Innocent until proven guilty" means to me Libby starts the trial innocent. The prosecution must prove beyond a reasonable doubt he perjured himself. Libby's defense was that he had a bad memory. The jury said they convicted him on Russert's testimony. No matter how convincing Russert was, if his testimony contradicted Libby's, that's only one against one. That's not beyond a reasonable doubt.

Libby doesn't have to prove himself innocent--the prosecution must prove him guilty.

Is this grounds for a mistrial?

Well surely the Valentine's T shirts should be.

Unbelievable...if this is so, if this is the statement of a juror who found him guilty, then it is grounds for a mistrial IMHO.

I have no clue as to why Libby's lawyers let this former reporter on the Jury. I bet he writes a book.

BINGO!! Mr Denis (with one N) was just on Larry King who asked if he would write a book. Affirmative, because this was such a great jury and so methodical blah blah blah.

Did you see even David Boies (former Gore attorney) says this is a travesty. This case should have never been brought. It was a perjury trap, pure and simple. When Fitzgerald was handed the case, he already knew that Armitage was Novak's source.

This is just sickening.

Being on trial for a bad memory is so ridiculous. And the jury bought one of the Cooper counts? Are you kidding me? After Fitz grilling him for 8 hours, it was amazing he even remembered his name! And he qualified his testimony with, "this is the best I can remember. I don't have my notes, so I could be misremembering." (not verbatim, but close).

Again, this is sickening.

You expressed exactly what I am feeling tonight. This is beyond sickening. A travesty of justice....a revolting self centered evil Prosecutor....and a jury out for book deals..and Sharon Stone playing Vomitting-Valerie Plame.

I was disappointed in Brit Hume's panel tonight.

Mort and Mara were thrilled..and even Fred Barnes seemed to put up very little fight.

I think they even surprised Brit...who I know thinks this was ridiculous.
