His campaign is in trouble? When was it ever viable?

He's not sinking because he supports Bush's Iraq plan - he's toast because he's now being dropped by the MSM, he's two-faced, he's anti-tax-cut, and he supports illegal alien amnesty.

Another insider, a guru to the conservative movement, says that McCain himself is growing increasingly desperate in the wake of his downward slide in the polls—a slip hastened by his steadfast support of the very man who savaged him and his family during the 2004 election, George W. Bush, and the president's unpopular plan for troop surge in Iraq. "One of the top aides to the Republican leadership told me that McCain has lost so much support, he's simply beside himself. He's wringing his hands. Things are sinking fast—in two or three weeks, we'll know if there is any recovery."

He's not sinking in the Republican polls for supporting the president. This bodes very poorly for the Senate for the next two years. The only thing keeping McCain on the reservation is the need to play conservative for the primaries. One he is out of the presidential race, he's going to be a huge problem in the Senate.

I'm sure McCain will be able to win people back by emphasizing the al-Queda Bill of Rights, tax hikes, and ACLU judges.

John McCain wants us to believe that he both hates and loves conservatives and that he both hates and loves liberals.

His "principled" stand on campaign finance is nothing more than the arrogance of a politician trusting that what he sees in the mirror is the real thing.

It isn't. His mirror is the same one most narcissists use.

My Prediction:

Hillary, "Wing-nut" Obama, McCain and Giuliani will all be out of the running by January. American will have tired of ALL of them by then.

My Hope: Fred Thompson throws his hat in the race in September.

McCain is no longer the media darling, Obama is. He'll never make the adjustment.

There's a long black train comin' down the line,
Feeding off the souls that are lost and cryin'.
Rails of sin, only evil remains.
Watch out, brother, for that long black train.
Look to the heaven's, you can look to the sky.
You can find redemption staring back into your eyes.
There is protection and there's peace the same:
Burnin' your ticket for that long black train.

McCain should have taken this into consideration when he was stabbing Conservatives in the back over the last years in the Senate. What did he think, the media was going to be on his side? Can you say dumba.. Don't worry, you can come back after the next election as the main media foil for your own party.

Bye Bye McPain, we hardly knew you.

Couldn't happen to a nicer fellow....

a slip hastened by his steadfast support of the very man who savaged him and his family during the 2004 election, George W. Bush, and the president's unpopular plan for troop surge in Iraq.

If its the GOP they are polling his support of GWB is perhaps the only thing keeping him out of the single digits. But he was out attacking Rummy the other day too.

This man cooked his own goose in '00 and the gop base has a long memory. Then he ran the gang of 14 too and that sealed his fate.

"a slip hastened by his steadfast support of the very man who savaged him and his family during the 2004 election, George W. Bush, and the president's unpopular plan for troop surge in Iraq."

That has absolutely nothing to do with McInsane's slip. It has to do with backstabbing conservatives every chance he gets.
