RUDY: SHE'S NO EVIL STEPMOM; DEFENDS JUDI FROM HIS SON'S PARENT RAP (Judi's bitter divorce saga)
NY POST ^ | March 6, 2007 | GEOFF EARLE with Maggie Haberman

Posted on 03/06/2007 3:27:51 AM PST by Liz

Rudy Giuliani vigorously defended his wife, Judith, as the perfect stepmom just days after his son, Andrew, revealed he doesn't get along with her. "My wife, Judith, is a loving and caring mother and stepmother," Giuliani told reporters after a meeting with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and county sheriffs.....he stood foursquare behind his wife, whose highly public relationship with Giuliani began while he was still married to the mother of his two kids.

Andrew Giuliani bluntly disclosed.... "There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife." Sources familiar with the difficult relationship between the Giuliani kids and their stepmom said it started deteriorating before the couple married June 2003, but went south quickly after the wedding.

Giuliani's kids had hoped to carve out time to spend with their dad alone as things got worse, but he opted against it, the sources said.

At the same time, Rudy was involved in the life of Judith's daughter, Whitney, and even spoke at her graduation from York Preparatory school in May 2004. Sources say Giuliani has not visited Andrew at Duke, and that his relations with Caroline also are strained....even worse than with his son. Before she wed Giuliani, Judith went through a bitter court fight with Bruce Nathan over who would have custody of their daughter. Her ex-husband filed court papers in 2001 that said his daughter ran away from her mother when she was 16 and voluntarily moved in with him during the time when her mother was regularly at Giuliani's side in public while he was trying to get a divorce from Hanover.

If you heard the entire clip of Rudy's comments you would know that he said........in jest......

I'd like to run on the republican line, the liberal line, the conservative line, the democrat line........and then he laughed.

If you knew anything about NY voting practices you would know that a candidate can be on any line where he gets the support of the powers that be in those political organizations. Most candidates run on more than one line.

Don't let the facts get in the way of your lies.

Imagine if people judged us by some of the hate rhetoric seen right here on FR.

Choosing to ignore the fact that Andrew was best man at his father's wedding.

Hard to ignore that pesky little fact. Hard to ignore that Reagan's daughter posted for one of the Playboy-type magazines too and she and one of the sons were estranged from Reagan on and off nearly all their adult lives.

They do. Which is why, even though I don't support McCain, I don't slime him either. I can't say for sure who I will vote for, it's a long way off. I defend Rudy because I respect him for the many admirable traits he has, and for the loyalty he has shown Bush in these very trying times.

You better take your misguided insults to some teenage chat room where they belong. I am calling a spade a spade: Rudy Giuliani: "I would like to run on the Democratic Line"

Where to begin?

That free-of-all-context Youtube video is about as convincing as your mendacious editing of the comment above, where Giuliani actually said "I'd like to run on the conservative line. I'd like to run on the liberal line. I'd like to run on the Democratic line! (chuckle)".

Clearly he was saying he'd like to appeal to a large range of interests, and not just "the Democratic Line" as you dishonestly try to represent.

The video does the same thing. It's an end-to-end sample of three- to five-word soundbites, with zero context or even an entire sentence in most cases. It is a dishonest piece of work.

I'm not surprised that you present such a comical hack-job as a convincing or informative analysis of anything. It's the same caliber of mixed-up "analysis" that you present on this thread.

I disagree on that. Duncan Hunter has a lot meor experience. Heck even GW was in the military. Unlike draft dodging Rino Rudy.

"Don't let the facts get in the way of your lies."

My lies? I see this kind of crap is becoming typical of the G-libs around here. A Giuliani nomination means the general election is just another democrat primary. Anyone who thinks Giuliani is conservative is the one lying to themselves.

The G-libs seem to be getting very testy. They must be ashamed of their impulsive support, as opposed to a conscientious, careful evaluation of who the GOP should set forth as their best for the presidency.

Reagan "cheated" on his first wife.

Why the scare quotes? When is cheating not cheating?

The House did, the Senate didn't.

the House did not impeach President Clinton for his conduct with Ms. Lewinsky, and if such a count had been drafted it would not have gotten 80 votes.

But it's not National Security.

National Security is a series of activites that constitute "defending the nation against threats".

My point is that Giuliani's company is in the business of "helping entities to defend against threats, and to recover if they have been attacked".

That's kind of a cross-organizational skill, if one has the proper mindset.

I was referring to the selective playing of Rudy's comments about being on the democrat line. He said he'd like to be on EVERY line and named them.

You cannot win an argument with misrepresentations.

I would see more of a problem if Chelsea Clinton didn't feel the same way about her dad. It understandable for a child not to approve of their dad cheating on their mother's. Why did the press never find out how Chelsea felt, looks kind of bias!

"Clearly he was saying he'd like to appeal to a large range of interests, and not just "the Democratic Line" as you dishonestly try to represent."

No, clearly he is the immoral and slimy politician trying to get everyone to like him.

Am I dishonestly representing him when I claim he is a pro-choice, pro-sanctuary city philanderer? That's your guy, huh? Wow, now I am impressed with YOUR analytical capability.

The weak G-libs are getting nervous. Don't worry; we will welcome you back conditionally when you realize the error of your ways.

This reminds me of when Clinton was justifying his antics by dragging Thomas Jefferson through the mud, remember?

Except now they use Reagan.

I supported Rudy long before I had any idea if he was even running. Having lived thru decades of NYC and being at the mercy of Dinkins types, it was such a relief to think that my husband might get home from the city in one piece after all.

He took the PATH train to WTC every day for years, worked in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

What Rudy accomplished in just those four years is why he won in a landslide his second term.

Thousands of people are alive in NYC thanks to Rudy. Most of them continue to hate Rudy anyway!

Types like that are right here on FR these days.
