FReepers are usually smart people. I wonder why they can't see this Big Media strategy. It's as plain as the nose on their face.

"Giuliani's 21-year-old son, Andrew, told the New York Times that he would be too busy working on his golf game to participate in his father's presidential campaign."

Excellent advice! I think every one should do that!!

The MSM will keep Rudy's issues under wraps until he gets the nomination, then everything will come out with a vengeance.

"When a whole lot less awful stuff was coming out about Bill Clinton, we didn't call it "spittle." We said his personal misbehavior was an accurate reflection of his loathesome character. We need to say exactly the same about the GOP's Blue-State candidate."

Agreed. Actually, we need to do the same for any GOP candidate. We hit on the Dems for hypocrisy - we can't fall into the "it's ok because he's our guy" trap.

There was a thread with a video showing Rudy making fun of a parkinson's patient on a call in show. The rudy supporters were defending it and saying the guy had it coming. I couldn't help thinking that if it was hillary doing the same thing, they'd be ripping her for it and saying it should end her candidacy.

I guess the whole thing is Bill Clinton never wore a dress to a fundrasier! He's now more acceptable than Rudy Guiliani to some Republicans?!

Just consider the source - those who say that approve of RAPE! I ignore 'em.

...this certainly wont help the mans candidacy.

Yep, you're absolutely correct on that. I think most people understand and can accept that marriage is more than just blindly following one's marital vows as being undissolvable, no matter what the circumstances.

So I don't think it will resonate beyond the ever-less-effective MSM's strivings to keep it going. However, the US public abhors purely personal attacks on a candidate's family life. No, this effort to de-rail Rudy will build and...die.

Right but that's not the main difference. The main difference is that Reagan's remarriage occurred in 1952. He was elected President in 1980. So the event occurred some 28 years previous. So it was hardly a event in voter's minds.

Guiliani's is a recent messy divorce just a few years ago. And Guiliani has been married 3 times. So he has much more baggage to overcome than Reagan in this area ... plus he is not a Ronald Reagan.

It doesn't matter what "strategery" the so-called "Big Media" employ against Rudy.

Fact is that unless their is some major change in the campaign there are just too many large states that Rudy will win easily in the primaries -- such as NY, NJ, CA, PA. He is strong in every region in the country. More and more it appears that Rudy will be the Republican nominee; hence the frantic campaign against him.

The most telling fact is that those who are anti-Rudy really have no viable alternative. That's why all of the action is on the Rudy threads. Nobody really cares about the other candidates -- with the possible exception of Romney.

As for Duncan Hunter, he is so out of it that I doubt he makes it to 2008.

No he's not a Ronald Reagan...He's a Rudy Guiliani, knighted by Queen Elizabeth and loved all over the world. He also has his merits, as does President Bush. Let's not be like the Democrats with an image that is forever held over potential leaders...In their case, their 3-year President JFK. Ronald Reagan was unique...as they all are.

It will not only hurt him with the "GOP conservative voters" but with any person who believes in "family". It's been apparent since 2000 that Rudy traded in his wife and children for his whore.

I'm saving all these videos and stories for distribution at a later date to do everything I can to dissuade people from voting for him.

Reagan was also divorced and was an FDR Democrat until he saw the light.

Even some conservatives are lapping up this spittle.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I know I am lapping it up and laughing while I am doing it. This is just a taste of what the MSM will do to Rudy if he gets the nomination.

Rudy is a liberal, and hardly a national Republican. That pig just won't fly and as soon as y'all dreamers wake up and get behind a real Republican who can win, the better.

Rudy has got serious problems all over the place, not just with his personal life:

While he was the “Republican Mayor” of New York City he appointed more than 60 men and women to the Civil, Criminal, and Family Court benchs. In all of those judicial appointment only two were Republican. All of his other judical appointments were either registered Liberals or registered Democrats. As the “Republican Mayor” he had appointment power over more than 70 full commissioners in more than 50 City agencies, yet at no time during his administration did REPUBLICANS account for more than 10% of those appointments. He even appointed Chuck Schumers wife as the City’s Department of Transportation Commissioner. ________________________________________________________________ http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/archives/9054.html “And even as we grieve for those who lost their lives, and our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their loved ones, we may be able to find some sort of meaning in this tragedy by using it as a catalyst to revive national gun control efforts.” Rudolph Giuliani

What's all this crap about - you are comparing him to RR - not me! He is HIS OWN person and RR was his own. Why do you feel the need to parallel a leaders life with someone elses.

Why the need to 'box someone in' to see if they fit the description/lifestyle of someone else that you approve of more.

. plus he is not a Ronald Reagan.

No $*it, Dick Tracey! I'm sure he is happy about that and very comfortable in his own skin.

"Rudy traded in his wife and children for his whore."

So, by your logic, every divorced woman who remarries, or every woman who marries a divorced man is a "whore"?

That kind of thinking will sure win a lot of folks over to your Duncan Hunter...in a country where 50% of all marriages end in divorce, and where most divorcees remarry.

You better get busy sewing up a WHOLE LOT of Scarlet "A"s, for when you and Duncan take over the world.

Let's not be like the Democrats with an image that is forever held over potential leaders...

Both parties have their images out there ... Kennedy and Reagan. Nothing wrong with that. We should always hold up Reagan to compare our leaders to until someone better than Reagan comes along and then we compare them to that.

While I am not in the camp of totally trashing Guiliani our party is in trouble in that we do not one serious candidate we can all rally around that doesn't have serious baggage. We can certainly do better than the crop we have - and we can certainly do much better than electing a mayor as President.
