Much wisdom in this letter. As far as I'm concerned the gun banners are criminal advocates. I'd love to find out how much of their money comes from organized crime and Columbia. They don't support law one against criminal behavior.

Well alrighty then. He goofed, he admitted it, and now promises to be a strong advocate for gun rights. More power to him!!!

He had a "come to Jesus" meeting with The Nuge.

Fair enough. I don't really trust the guy, but he's made his apologies and I'm not going to hold what he said in a blog entry against him forever.

Welcome back aboard the RKBA bandwagon. Now I can forgive the guy for his stupid comment.
Hope he gives them absolute hell along with the Nuge.

Now, if he is an older hunter and just moved in hunting circles, his original statement may have been a honest (if outrageously stupid and ignorant) mistake.
He has finally made a REAL apology with this letter. And he seems to have "gotten" it about the 2nd Amendment. Better late than never.
At this point, I'm willing to take him at his word and see what sort of actions he takes to follow up on this statement. If he's really had a change of heart, we'll know it pretty quick.
If we're absolutely implacable and refuse a humble apology, we drive him into the arms of the anti-gunners.

Has he seen the light? He says he now know (or has known all along) that the 2nd ammendment was never about hunting.....hmmmm......
Could his change of heart be instrumental in awakening the "country-club" skeet shooters to the very real danger that the likes of Feinswine, Shukster, and the rest of the statists pose to the Republic?
We shall see....

As far as mea culpas go, that's a pretty good one. I'm not quite as mad at him now. :)

Sounds like Dumbo woke up.
I remember about 10 years ago when either "Shooting Times" or G&A wrote something similar.

"I recently took a “crash course” on these firearms with Ted Nugent, to learn more about them and to educate myself. In the process, I learned about the very real threat that faces all American gun owners." OK, so Nuge read him the riot act concerning these rifles???
And this guy is some kind of expert???
What am I missing here?

Ive studied up on legislation...that...would renew and dangerously expand a ban on many types of firearms. The bill, HR 1022...Does anyone think that Mr. Zumbo would have agita over this, if he had not been "Zumboed"?
Be that as it may, I think it's time to accept Mr. Zumbo's apology and clear a space for him back at the campfire.
He could be a strong voice for us, if he truly has seen the light.

God bless Jim Zumbo. No doubt there will still be some pompous, lowbrow "tough guys" who refuse to cut the gentleman a break. Gee, nobody ever makes a mistake.
