Why, do we feel the need to publish our capabilities to our enemies? We have some stupid people running the show!!

If I'm not mistaken, the Left wanted to kill this plane during its development.

Sounds great until you remember the E/F was originally supposed to come with the AESA and was instead "retrofitted" with the C/D/A+ model's AN/APG-73.
The good news is those "legacy" E/Fs were only twice the price of the Cs.
Well done, Boeing/NAVAIR!

Speaking of extreme AAM range, was the Phoenix replaced with similar range missile? I gather they retired it with the F14.

This is the plane that lost out to the F-16 when the two were originally being designed and selected.
It is a fine aircraft when compared to the rest of the planet...it is and deserves to be a red headed step child when compared to US platforms.

Why, do we feel the need to publish our capabilities to our enemies? Because the enemies in this case are the US Congress.

The plane that lost to the F-16 was not a super hornet, but a F-18 hornet. Yes they are a big difference.
To: 6ppc
Because the enemies in this case are the US Congress. Exactly! They are going to be the death of America yet. What a bunch of nincompoops!

This is the plane that lost out to the F-16 when the two were originally being designed and selected. NO. That would be the YF-17. The E/F is nothing like it.

NO. That would be the YF-17. The E/F is nothing like it. Nothing like it? They do bear a family resemblance.
