This reminded me of the time Algore shifted into full-on, black preacher mode in front of an African-American congregation. The pandering was embarrassingly obvious to everyone BUT the congregation. They absolutely ate it up! I have a hard time understanding this because the black people I have known are VERY savvy and they know when they're being played. Algore's audience, on the other hand, appeared to be oblivious to his game-playing.
