Well McCain, Romney, and Rudy are the first three candidates to bend over. And McCrazy was not even at the event. Disgusting. Where were they when Maher said on PUBLIC television that it would be a good idea for VP Cheney to be assassinated?
No Coulter fan here but is her right to free speech less than Maher and all the other freaks who call the President a murderer, etc. every single day?

Rehab!! Sounds more like the re-education camps the Vietnamese and Cambodians forced their enemies into. PC be damned. Why care what any of those offended will think of the gop. THEY WON'T VOTE FOR THE GOP ANYWAY!! Being nice to them is like pissing in the wind, you know that warm feeling that just leaves you wet and smelling in the long run. Fight them with their own tactics, taking the high ground just gives them a good target to shoot up at.

How many Coulter-bashing threads do there have to be at FR?
Just pig-pile on one thread, would ya?

Sean simply missed the "rehab" part. Of course, that was the whole point, and is a true story.
Sean should now be sent to a remedial English grammar and logic course so he knows what Ann was talking about.

The last time she did something similar she said something about Uncle Ted being a murderer.
Colmes got all huffy demanding she take it back and Ann said, "Did he or did he not kill a woman in Chappaquiddick?"
It was classic.

Isn't calling Edwards a faggot a compliment? Faggot=queer=gay. And gay is good, right?

Sean Hannity has basically lost all respect in my eyes after turning into a Rudy shill.

Great question.
It seems like every time I refreshed the news page today there was a new thread about this.

"Gee....I guess implying Edwards is a 'faggot' is much, much worse than Bill Maher calling for the DEATH of Dick Cheney?"
I think Ann should apologize AFTER Bill Maher does!

Miss MSNBC, miss CBS, listen to ABC, no difference ..... Sean is just a Rush wannabe ... miss Rush, tune in Sean and get the same thing ... don't get me wrong, I like Rush and Sean, but sometimes Sean can be a real pain in the butt with his smarmy comments .....

Edwards lost all claim to 'being insulted' after what he did in the vice presidential debates, and later, his B of a wife insulted Lynn Cheney.
What about his two bloggers with mouths much worse than Ann's.
Ann will not and should not apologize. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but the dems have NO standing to go all high and mighty and hurt over this silliness.

I am amazed that so many here on FR are when push comes to shove......so politically correct senstive. The idea that someone must adhere to some leftist mindset that "SOME WORDS" are so hideous they must never be uttered is unbelievable.
I would venture to say that the same people who have condemned Ann's use of a politically incorrect word laugh their a$$e$ off when George Carlin, Chris Rock or some other comedienne uses them in THEIR PERFORMANCE!!!
Everyone who is in a snit because of Ann's use of the WORD faggot........please get a grip, you sound like every weasel politician, pandering to their constituency by expressing their unquenchable outrage!!

I think Ann will surprise us, with a ringing endorsement for freedom of speech and for condemnation of PC tactics.
Interesting how many conservatives and GOP-ers are livid with condemnation for Ann, yet no one on the Dim side is talking about the outrageous Cheney comment by that slug Bill Maher, which involves not an allusion to name calling, but a wish of death upon the Vice President of the US in a time of war.
Ann will use the facetime to expose the ridiculousness of PC speech, and I hope she gives Colmes has an apoplectic fit on the air.
Ann did not call Edwards a faggot directly--that is left to the listener. She had two separate thoughts in her statement, cleverly linked to cause confusion by the leftists who are just-oh-so ready to condemn the right, even for breathing(i.e. CO2 emissions=breathing).
Let's hold on and see what Ann has to say.
While she still has the right to say it.

Wow. Thanks for alerting us to that. Could you give me a reference to that Maher comment so I can use it to bash my liberal brother-in-law over the head the next time I see him?
To: daybreakcoming
I am always amazed how much media attention and finger pointing is done when a conservative speaks out of line, Ann is not a politician as John Kerry, she has the right to say what ever she wants and she usually if not always does. I think what I am most amazed by is how quickly the Republicans bow down. I have not seen nearly as much demanding of apologies from the right concerning comments about our current administration. This is all too weird for me!

The thing I regret most about Ann's comment is that the media always paints Conservatives as racist and homophobic, even though I honestly believe these are NOT core conservative beliefs. Whenever you have ONE incident like this, it gives the liberal media fodder to perpetuate the stereotype for YEARS!
Look at what happened to Rush on ESPN. His WAS a perfectly legitimate observation, and he got painted as a conservative racist. And through guilt by association, all conservatives are racist.
Now we have the validation of the "all conservatives are homophobic" stereotype in the form of Ann's comment. So the talking liberal media bobbleheads are all over themselves making sure EVERYONE hears about the comment to reinforce the stereotype.
It stinks because conservatism is not about racism or homophobia.

Yes!
I posted on another thread (and had my head handed to me) that gays have become the New Untouchable group, leaving the former Untouchables (Blacks) out in the cold.
This is proven by two recent instances where Black men (one an actor on that stupid soap opera Grey's Anatomy and one a former basketball player) were INSENSITIVE enough to either make jokes about gays or say they didn't like them.
Wow, they were sent to sensitivity training and/or lopped from appearing at the All Star Game quicker than you can say Jack Robinson. Quicker than you can say faggot, but you'd better not.
Imagine the surprise in the sensitivity training group to see ... A Black Man. Duh.
I just think it's funny.
