If we accomplish nothing else with these discussions, I hope we can get the name calling out of the way, and get to the point where we are focused in on the issues and facts.
Name calling only causes people to harden their stand, in my opinion.
That, or they were here only masquerading as conservatives; and therefore not conflicted in the least when it comes to supporting a gun grabbin liberal socialist like Rudy.
I may disagree about who would make the best Republican nominee, but I won't make personal attacks...to the FReeper or to the particular candidate that he supports. It's unproductive.
Rudy Giuliani is not a socialist, at least not from his record on most issues important to conservatives. His record is one of being a capitalist.

I'm glad you have a pastor with firm moral principles. I expect your Baptist congregation is flourishing as a result. Since you freely admit that your party affiliation trumps your own faith-based values, may I suggest you check out the Episcopal Church (where, I understand, there is a lot of room in the pews for people who support abortion and "gay rights").

I believe that it was said that NONE of the PBAs were done to "save the life of the mother," none, ever. It's ALL about being free to kill babies. (Notice though that NO ONE who wants to see babies killed was aborted themselves.)
