I cannot support Rudy.
I am debating whether I should OPPOSE him enthusiastically, or just to simply withhold my support for Rudy.
BTW - I wasn't referring to Rudy as someone that would do that.
But if the counry went far enough to the left, after all Hitler was a Socialist as was his party.
Any way it really isn't that important, because Rudy will not get the nod.

Same here.....I'm voting for Rudy because we need a leader for these dangerous times against dangerous enemies. The "other" issues that Rudy haters keep spewing are secondary. You can't protest for or against any of the activist issues if our enemies are ready to slit your throat.
But, that fact doesn't bother some conservative like me.
As I have mentioned, if you read the post that this person puts up he accuses those who don't follow the Rudy train as being less than something.

Life of the mother is indeed the crux of the problem with the bill. Those with the ability to understand see that the life of a mother will be construed by abortionists (using both definitions) can be minor problems (such as her social life will be ruined) compared to killing a viable baby.
You so know that it was originally the health of the mother. If a mother was distraught (considered a health problem) over having to have a live baby living with her she could have it killed at 9 months gestation. BTW, speaking of the life of the mothers, PBA is considerable more dangerous to the life of the mother than giving birth is.
Very few PBA's are preformed to save the life of a mother, most are done for convenience. Those that would not sign the bill are supporting a mother's desire to have it killed seconds before it could be born alive.

No, actually I'm very pro-life. I had this discussion with my pastor the last time he and I had lunch. He related that he could never vote for anyone who wasn't staunchly pro-life.
I told him I used to feel the same way (about that issue and the 2nd Amendment, to boot). "But what if the choice is electing Giuliani or electing Hillary Clinton," I asked. "Would you stay home and not vote?"
He said he probably would. I said, "Congratulations. If enough Baptists think like you, we can guarantee a Democrat victory in '08."
He didn't have an answer for that.
