If Giuliani can get through primaries, he stacks up well For a guy commonly regarded as a hero after 9/11, Mayor Giuliani is too quickly dismissed by presidential handicappers. Here's why he deserves a second look.

Yes they were, because the moribund GOP gave conservatives no reason to vote them back in. It is when the GOP runs far to the right of the treason Party that conservatives and Independents vote GOP. IF they can hardly tell the difference, you get results like 2006.

Didn't you vote for that pro land grab, pro tax and spend fellar?

But he was pro-life, while your candidate was not. And isn't that the most important issue?

Why do you want to vote for a liberal?

And why do you tout that on a conservative website?

Well, from what I see most of you don't consider polls of importance unless of course they reflect your views. Check out the other polls out there.

Well, I can't believe you really think that. Not that I doubt your sincerity.

That vote was more of a protest, I knew he could nto win, I only in one other case have voted for a pro abortion candidate. The republican in that one was also pro abortion. So it was a wash. Keep this in mind I do ahve a history of voting my conscience over party.

"Well said, Hillary is the who we should all be working against instead of each other."

Thanks. The single most important thing is that the GOP unite behind WHOMEVER wins the nomination (be it Hunter, Rudy or Mitt).

Hillary is a lock for 40% of the vote. It will take a unified GOP to beat her. Hissy-fit splinter candidacies are what she is banking on to win the White House with 43% while the purists break-away the necessary 6% to 10% she needs.

It truly is that simple.

need conservatives anymore then you will not mind us leaving.

You an arrogant individual, as I'm coming to see are many in the anti-Giuliani zealotry brigade.

He's my third choice candidate, but here I find myself defending him because of your monumental arrogance that you are the "true conservative".

Balderdash.

He will split the party and lose to almost any rat out there.

No.  Voters split parties, not candidates.

Yes, I do believe it. I look at the Tories in England abandoning Thatcherism and swerving left. They have been getting their asses handed to them ever since.

The party does not have a right to my vote, they have to earn it. Rino Rudy by his past action can not do that.

60 seconds flat for the Rudy bashers to arrive.

Whet else do they have to do? It gets boring in their bunkers, I'm sure.

That was because the Labor Party shifted to the right, and got a new leader who was attractive to moderate voters. Since then, the Tories have been in disarray. But that's not a situation of their own making.

Unless Rudy commits a major faux pas, he's going to win the GOP nomination, and then he's going to win the election in November 2008.

The most "likable" Presidential candidate always wins in the general election.

Giuliani is more likable than any of the Rat candidates. With Hillary, that's no contest. Obama is likable but the lack of substance is going to get him. "America's Mayor" is an unstoppable nickname.

We're going to see a lot of Freepers set themselves on fire about this, and I don't know what it's going to do to this forum, but if you want to look at things objectively instead of from your sentiments or emotions, it's pretty darn hard to see how Rudy does win the whole shootin' match.

His crossover appeal to Reagan Democrats more than offsets the Freepers who set themselves on fire.

Don't be so sure.

I know some independants and 'reagan democrats' who have wanted a border fence for years.

Hunter is the only candidate claiming that he will have it up within 6 months of being elected.

Plus he can back it up by showing the fence on the southern California border in his ads.

But I don't run around this forum spouting off about not voting for a pro abort, pro gay person when that is exactly what you did...... Your word is worthless as your actions speak volumes of what you'll do regardless of the rhectoric.
