He's not pro-abortion, he's pro-choice. He hates abortion. And furthermore, the people who will not vote for a pro-choicer are in a minority, that will not prevent Rudy from winning the general election.

To many if you are not pro life you ar pro abortion. He will split the party the question that remains to be seen is how bad that split will be.

Got it the wrong way round. Rudy is on track to beat every RATS candidate out there, and has a very good shot at winning even blues states like PA and NJ where is running solidly ahead right of every RATS candidate right now, if he should win the nomination.
Don't matter if you personally vote for him or not.

Go ahead, call me a RINO Rudy basher. Do you really want a pro-gay, pro-abortion, way left of center gun grabber representing the GOP in the White House? Not me. PASS. I wouldn't piss on that guy if he was on fire.

As a party we better put up someone who espouses conservative values for 08 or not only is this party but the country as we know it is cooked.

That's foolish.

First, he's not "pro-abortion".

Second, there is nothing that he can do as President to directly affect abortion laws.

Third, he has said he will appoint strict constructionist judges. Do you see "abortion" as an enumerated right in the Constitution?

What more do you want?

Wrong. You're only pro-abortion if you think that abortion is a good thing.

He will split the party the question that remains to be seen is how bad that split will be.

My guess: another 2000-style 'split', when one million voters leave, but ten million new voters come to support our candidate.

You are splitting hairs and dealing in semantics. If someone is pro-choice they are not against abortion. If they are not against it they are for it. You cannot have it both ways.
